Nope. That's only looking at FOXP2 on its own. It's one of many factors. You fail, you are wrong; you asked for a gene mutation related to language in humans, I provided one, and now you are backpedaling.

I have two theories on that. God's time is not the same as our time.

The second is that time doesn't exist until mass exists.

The laws of thermodynamics disagree. Energy is constrained by entropy, and entropy is based on time. Also, we are talking about the history that is observed in the mass. The mass had to be present for these histories to take place. Radiohalos are a direct record of uranium (which is mass) decaying over time to produce discoloration in rocks (which is mass). If the decay rates were different in the past then the halos would have completely different characteristics. That they produce the very halos we would predict from the observed and very slow decay rates of uranium this points to a very long history of decay in mass once it was here. We are being told that God just made these rocks with the false history already in them.

But neither of them "False". Just misunderstood. Man not understanding time as God does? Again, fairly easy to believe.

Last Thursdayism is only easy to believe for those who are gullible. Sorry, but there is nothing to misunderstand. The Earth is old. That is what the evidence demonstrates. No misunderstanding. If your religious beliefs require you to believe that the Earth is not old then they are false religious beliefs.

What does the bible say about how long humans have been around?

Hello,

I write mainly because I have a friend who has been struggling with his belief and I wanted to get some answered from other believers hoping maybe I could help him ease his mind.

He believes strongly in the bible and an old earth.

The problem is as follows..
Have humans been around 6000 years or 500.000 years?

Using the bible to trace back by using Biblical Genealogical records (If that is what it transelates too, I am not sure. it would for instance be used to say Noah lived about 4300 years ago which would have been about the time of the flood.)

And using the same methode dating back all the way to Adam and Eve at roughly 6000 years ago.

The problem being that I know and he knows that humans are quite a bit older then that, and the bible seems to disagree. We dont know how else to interprete the bible since it seems pretty straight forward, however I am fairly sure not all christians believe man was put on the old earth 6000 years ago.

So my question is how do you reconcile that in a way that actually makes sense?

Of course neither had a need for one because they were both just whipped up by God in the Garden. No actual birth took place so no belly button. I will go to sleep tonight pondering this great mystery. Seacrest out.

An even greater mystery then an intelligent, all powerful God creating the first man and woman without a belly button, is everything coming from nothing, life spontaneously appearing from non-life, the first simple life form developing the ability to reproduce itself in the first generation (despite the millions and billions of years needed for evolution), the simple life form developing itself into more complex life forms through a series of beneficial cancers, going from the goo, through the zoo, to me and you, all without an intelligent designer. Amazing. If allowance is made for enough years, we can be led to believe almost anything can happen by chance.
