This is a common devotion that I heard at camp and I always think about it when I'm angry.
You are like a tube of toothpaste. When you get angry you might say something mean. When you do this a little bit of your toothpaste is squezed out. If you keep on saying mean things a lot of toothpaste is squezed out. You regret the things you said later and although you wish to take them back you cannot. Just like you cannot put the toothpaste back into the tube.
It's a little childish but I think it has a good meaning.
