But I am not really a born-again christian, I have been raised in a christian home and have been christian all my life.

The question of note is this, do you know Him - Jesus Personally?
Do you meet Him when you pray?
or is it all faith, waiting in the hope.

the Born again aspect dentores the meeting of Jesus and the conversion experience, where the Mind of God comes and dwells within you.

most people think it is enough to believe.
others can repent.
but unless you invite Him in, all is for naught.

if you don't know whether you have been saved, you probably haven't been.

the badge is the experience of God in the flesh directly experienced in your heart and mind.

for this you have to follow the form:
that sinners prayer.

it may appear foolishness, but it is the only way.

it is not what you do that will get you into heaven, it IS who you know.

don't believe the father of lies, he will try to persuade you that all is foolish, to keep your pride from letting you enter into His grace.

God in Jesus is waiting for you.
invite him in today.
I did, and my life has not been the same since.

your brother
David

I have done both, and do so frequently. I have always believed and I do not remember when I first asked Jesus to be Lord of my life, although I think it was rather late (maybe in the period between 10-14 years old) because when I was a child I didn't think to ask Jesus to be Lord in my life, I naturally assumed that he was.
I was 37 when i saw the light.
and now i am in bible college.

age is meaningless.
even if you asked before, ask again. it cannot hurt, it might help.
but repent of your sins too.
