hi everyone, this is my first post and i want to say hey b4 i dump my "issue" on you all....here it goes, im just going to lay it down flat....

i have only been christian for about 6 months now. before i tampered with many religions. once when i was about 13 yrs old ( i am 24 now) i decided to be a satanist and well, witchcraft was alluring for me. not the wiccan stuff, but the stuff you read about in satanism. anyway, is it possible to be saved after being a satanist? i mean, when you are a satanist you "give your soul" to satan in verbal confirmation. i am seriously tortured by this, and the thought makes me ill. can i be saved? is this sin forgivable?!? please, i really need help on this one.
the only hope i can think of is it wasnt my soul to give to anything, that it has been Gods since the beginning of me and its His job to put it in place.

It's true. God is more powerful than satan, always has been, always will be. Christ already defeated satan, sin and death. There's no boundaries there. There is nothing that can separate you from God's love, and if you're willing to accept that, then, yeah, God will accept you into His loving arms and kingdom.

God > Satan

Think of God as the repo man. He always takes back what it His, including your soul. Satan had to give it up, he had no choice.

Thank you all very much for the confirmation. you have no idea how much better i feel hearing it from others. its not exactly a subject i can talk about with my new christian friends. mainly because i feel so ashamed; anyway, thanks again!

Dear lillyofme: If you have not already done so, you must verbally renouce your occult activity. You need the guidance of a mature Christian in leadership. Do you have a pastor? If so, I urge you to talk with him as soon as you can and tell him everything. Satanism is serious business with tentacles that reach deeply within. If you have in your heart accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior and turned your life completely over to Him you are saved by the mercy and grace of God. There are many forms of satanic influence, but as believers in Christ and joined to Christ we have the absolute authority--through Christ--to bind the powers of darkness.

As a new Christian you need to SATURATE yourself with the Bible, beginning with the Gospel of John and then the rest of the New Testament. Learn about Jesus and get SERIOUS with God!

Second, I am glad yo have received help here with your worries about this . .

I played with witchcraft, though I never went as far as joining a coven, I was going to when God got a hold of me . .

But perhaps this will help . . .

I knew a woman who had been a high priestess in satanism . . she didn't just give her sould to the devil . . she was married to him . . you probably know a little more about this than I do . .

Fire would shoot from her fingertips when people prayed for her deliverance!

I met her several years ago, and she most definitely was a Christian! Once, the Lord let me see her as He did . . her face was tranformed in the most beautiful and gloious light . .. it was heavenly . .

If SHE could be saved . . you can be sure you can be and are in Christ!


Satan has no claim to your soul once you call on Jesus . . he will not give up easily, but he no longer has a claim on you . . you have been bought with a price!

1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I also have flirted with Satan a lot more than I should of...and was involved in witchcraft for a period just before I became a Christian a year or so ago...and I can tell you my soul is saved, Jesus paid the price to buy it back off Satan when he died on the cross, so I'm confident that I belong to Jesus Christ and only him now!
