The only problem is that she'd be in trouble too for helping to cover it up - but the threat of, "Well if you're going to turn me in anyway, I have nothing to lose by telling the police about OUR involvement with the hit and run, do I?" might be just the thing he needs to make him grow up a little.
I think Bree has every right to do what she's doing. He is underage, living in her home, and being completely disrespectful. He's taking total advantage of her.
