No for the reason just given.

To put another way, humanizing is saying or writing that God behaves as a human would.
I think you would be correct about our belief in His becoming Man; that it would indeed be COMPLETE humanization of God, but only if we DID NOT also believe He at the same time is fully God. Jesus being both God and Man cannot be described as complete humanization. (We are not gods).
Sure we are :)

Psalm 82:5 Not they know, and not they are understanding. In darkness they are going about, all of foundations of land are slipping. 6 I, I said gods/'Elohiym ye and sons of the Highest/'elyown all of ye' 7 Surely as adam ye shall die! and as one of the princes ye shall fall! 8 Arise thou god/Elohiym! judge thou the land! that Thou shall allot in all the nations. [John 10:34-36]

John 10:33 Answered to Him the Judeans "about an ideal work not we are stoning Thee but about blasphemy, and that Thou a man being, art making thyself a god.
34 Answered to them the JESUS "is not it is having been Written in the Law of ye that I say 'gods/qeoi <2316> ye are'? 35 If those He said gods toward whom the Word of the God became and not is able to be broken/annulled the Writing 36 whom the Father hallows and commissions into the World ye are saying that 'Thou are blaspheming' that I said 'Son of the God I am'" [Psalm 82:6]

I think unless we are also prepared to say God took a step up in becoming human, my meaning is clear. We are not Divine and our being Christian is not a path toward or change to becoming Divine. Being Holy is not to be or become Divine.

Jesus on the other hand was both human and Divine. Becoming human did not remove, reduce, or alter His Divinity (which was the point of the queston saying becoming human seems like total humanization of God). If you wish to discuss this further I do not think this is the appropriate place.

Thanks for your post. This part specifically is the kind of statements that seem to be humanizing God, quite directly. So I do not see how one of DrBubbaLove's justifications of revealing this concept is being fulfilled.

Either I am misunderstanding what you are telling me (Either one of you, or maybe both) or I am understanding you correctly and one among the two of you either disagrees or is confused about the doctrine. I can't say either way, since I am here to learn straight from the horse's mouth as the saying goes. Let me ask a question among the two of you:

jpark43: Do you agree with DrBubbaLove's reason for the revealing of the Trinity, or do you have another explanation maybe?

DrBubbaLove: The statement "He willingly became a human being on our behalf" appears to be a humanization of God, directly. Agreed? Disagreed? So do you still believe this concept mitigates this tendency?
humblemuslim,

We both believe Jesus is a Prophet. Now, this is what Luke has to say concerning Jesus.

Luke testifies that Jesus is a great Prophet (Luke 4:24; Luke 7:16) whose role becomes equated with Servant (Isaiah 42:1-9; Isaiah 11:2) and Messiah (Daniel 9:25).

We both believe Jesus is Man. Now this is what Mark has to say concerning Jesus.

The title Son of Man emphasizes His humanity. (Daniel 7:13-14) The title emphasizes His relation to both God and man. (Luke 2:52) The title Son of God emphasizes His deity. (Mark 1:1; Mark 1:11)

You believe there is no Trinity.

YUSUFALI: They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

Now this is what the Bible says concerning the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 4:6-7 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

The relation of the Spirit to Jesus is underscored here. Trinity is related to those who are heirs.

We both believe in the Second Coming of Jesus. Now this is what Paul has to say concerning Jesus.

Titus 2:13 says looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

GOD.
3 letters that form one complete word. All equally important.
We can argue that Christ is below the Father, I suppose, but there does seem to be some contradictory data as far as that point is concerned in that the Son Himself is called 'the everlasting Father' in Isaiah....
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
(Isa 9:6)
So my view is that given the data in scripture that none of us is going to know precisely what the trinity is.
I like seeing the discussions and the hypothesis, but frankly, its simply amusing to see anyone trying to pretend that they have it all figured out at this point.
