im a born again christian and got into deep deppression i don't know why...woke up one day wanting to die. been to the doctor and on many different meds with no help. feel very hopeless.

Depression is a terrible illness - God will heal you of it in the name of Jesus. Keep the faith. I will pray against the spirit of suicide - remember, God is the God of Life.

Remember to see your family doctor. He may be able to help you with medication, and refer you to a psychologist or counselor.

Okay - my take on this is a lot different from everyone else's but kind of the same too. I have tried to kill myself and was hospitilized from being manic - among other things. This was long before I was a CHristian - GOd has delivered me - but it comes back at times - sometimes hard but sometimes I am just like "I want to die" and then I remember that CHRIST LOVES ME, I AM FULLY PLEASING TO HIM, HE HAS FORGIVEN ME AND I HAVE NOTHING TO BE DEPRESSED ABOUT - all the things I hated about myself have been covered by Christs blood - and it is this way for you too. HE LOVES YOU, YOU ARE FULLY PLEASING TO HIM, HE HAS FORCIVEN YOU AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE DEPRESSED ABOUT - all the things you hated about yourself have been covered by the blood of Christ - proclaim these things over your life!!! I will be praying for you.

im having a real tough time right now. im on medication for depression. i know jesus loves me. i ask him to help. this hurts so bad. i just want to die to end this pain. i don't know what else to do. i've tried almost all antidepresants will no help.

I AM NOT SAYING DON'T TAKE THE MEDICINE - but don't rely on it totally - He gives us meds but the best thing is prayer - EVERY time you feel this way - pray and pray and pray - I have to do it when I get that way - I have to do it when I get angery or I will hurt some one - I have to do it when I get lustfull or I will act on it - and I have to do it when I get depressed or I will act on that - it was hard at first and I felt like an idiot - always praying becaue I was always mad, lusting or depressed but you know what it worked after a while. TRy it - and keep taking the meds - HE WILL HELP YOU - just be patient and diligent.

i know what you are talking about - if you were here I could show you my scars from my attempts - it is not God - just keep praying broither just keep praying and relying on God's power - take the meds - goi tp the doctor's and get him to check you out but above all trust God and just keep praying.

Just keep going with God - the doc will be back - if it were me I would see if the doc can do blood work that will see if the meds are at a dangerous level- they got me hopped up on some stuff back in the day and it didn't hewlp much - I keep praying for you everytime I write and if you keep praying too God's gonna get you through this - he's cool like that.

I don't know if what I say can help but I can tell you about myself.
I suffer from mild chronic depression. I know that is not the same as yours but hopefully it can help you find ways to combat this.
One change what you eat. Get away from simple sugars like regular soda and sweetned cereal, cakes and pies. Substitute sugar for splenda or nuitrasweet. You may have a blood sugar problem and this will solve that. Second start a good excercise program like lifting weights and running/walking. If you are not doing this you will be surprised how good this can make you feel.
Of course you should check with your doctor if this fits your current health situation.
One other thing that I have noticed about myself that leads to depression is lack of contentment in my life. Sometimes nothing is ever good enough and I have to remind myself that everything is fine. Ask yourself why you feel the way you do?
