I was on medicine for my depression but it made me even more depressed and haved weird thoughts. Now, I am not on anything and all I can do is pray. It is like I stay depressed. What medicine works for you?

True clinical depression is such a horrible illness...trust me, I know. However, God has blessed us with so many medications. Lexipro is what works best for me. Very few (if any) side effects and it really keeps me balanced, etc.

You and your Mom should talk to the doctor who prescibed your meds. and explain why you or your Mom have decided not to follow his/her treatment of your depression.-side effects of the medication- ect.They can change your Meds. if your not getting the desired results.Depression can be treated successfully-I know because I was diagnosed with it and treatment does and can help if you find the right way to treat it.You and your doctor should talk about it.
