Hi all, its been a while since ive posted here.. but i felt i needed to esp tonight.. my depression is seeming to be getting worse and im almost out of my meds.. i dont see my dr til dec.. wat should i do???

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know if there's anything special about your meds, but I know some doctors phone in an Rx for a limited supply of meds, esp. if it's because the patient can't get to see them before they run out. I just thought I'd suggest it as something to consider. Of course, I don't know if you've already tried that.

Call your doctor. There is no sense in needlessly suffering. It will be okay, you'll get leveled out again, hang in there. God IS in control.

hang in there friend-yes i agree-you should see your doctor-explain you running out of meds. that why you want to see him earlier instead.

Oh you poor dear. 
I do think you should call your doctor. When I start running out of meds and I can't see my doc for a while, I can always call them and they'll actually call in a prescription to the pharmacy for me.
I'm praying for ya! Hope that Mercy Ministry thing works out for you...sure gonna miss ya.

I would never tell anyone to go against doctors unless it would help them. (Personally I trust only God)
But remember this; God knows you're depressed and he will come and help you.
Like a person lost in the woods who left word where he should be.
If the person did not return on time, he would be looked for until found, if possible.
God knows you're in trouble
and he will come and help you.

He will have his way in this storm and whirlwind you are in.

I'm not sure if meds are always the best. You could try St. John's Wort. I heard that helps the mood.
