I have been extremely depressed and hurt for months now. Recently I have been praying to God to kill me and take me from my misery. I pray that I can go to sleep and not wake up in the morning. I am unhappy everyday. Since heaven is so nice and peaceful I want to go there and be happy and at peace instead of in this cruel evil world.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, Ceimar99, as a Christian we are called on bear our share of sadness and joy. In the world, there is help for depression that can be yours if you will take the initiative and
talk to a specialist in psychiatry who can determine if you have a chemical imbalance
in the brain that is causing your depression (and medication can help to correct that)
or whether you are suffering because of stress in your life and need medication to
relieve this time that you are spending in deep depression.
So much can be done to improve a depressive state, and I hope you will talk in
privacy with a psychiatrist and follow his/her recommendations to make your situation much better for you.

I dont understand why God os ignoring me. I pray everynight asking the Lord to make things better or even just to give me a sign that he is listening. But I get nothing! I am a very good person I dont hurt others I treat everyone as I wish to b treated so why is it that I dont get the same in return? Why is God making me suffer? I never did anything to deserve this pain

((((ciemar99)))) Sweetheart, God isn't ignoring you, it's the depression that blocks your knowing that He is near. Please see your GP or MD if you don't have a psychologist to see. God doesn't make us suffer, it's the devil that does that (don't blame the wrong One!)
Depression will make you see only negative things, and to think irrational thoughts. Try reading a verse or two that helps you and cling to that... instead of asking God where is He, why is He gone, begin thanking Him and praising Him for being a merciful and loving God (not only will this help you begin to see Him working in your life, but it really ticks off the devil!)
Make your salvation sure, and then rely upon God to carry you at this time.
