Wow! It says my #1 is Baptist.
The church i've been trying to go to on a regular basis.. well, i have no idea what it is.
But my girl friend want's to take me to a baptist church this sunday becuase she doesn't think the one im going to is right for me.

Looks like God's playing tic-tac-toe with you ;)
Just an encouragement!

I'm gonna follow Izdaari's model :p

Edit: With more results!

1. Methodist/Wesleyan Church
Probably where, realistically speaking, I will end up. But it would have to be UMC.

2. Episcopal/Anglican Church
HEY! The other place I would probably end up! But the Episcopal church is a bit out there and ACNA is way conservative and reminds me of the Catholic church.

3. Evangelical Lutheran Church :)
It's ok but doesn't really hold anything special for me.

4. Mennonite Brethren :|
I think it was the pacifism thing that got me this. They are way too strict for me

5. Pentecostal
Too many debates with Charismatics, I don't agree with the theology plus I like quiet services.

6. LCMS Lutheran
Too conservative. No offense against Lutherans but I always feel excluded from anything Lutheran.

7. Orthodox Quakerism :sigh:
Unrealistic given my views and situation.

8. Free Will Baptist :)
Possible? I mean Baptists are alright sometimes, most of them are Calvinists it seems like. So the less conservative ones I'd probably mix with well.

9. Seventh-Day Adventist
A bit out there for me.

10. Church of Christ :ebil:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

11. International Church of Christ
Uh whats the difference?

12. Southern Baptist :mad::sick::sigh::cry:
View result ten but with more emotions.

13. Presbyterian Church USA
Not a Calvinist as demonstrated by my first result.

14. Orthodox Presbyterian Church :|
I already said I am not a Calvinist, I think it is safe to assume I am not an orthodox Calvinist either.

15. Presbyterian Church AUS :scratch::|:doh:
Ok now this test is really messing with me; refer to (in this sequence) results 13 and 14 and then restate my general thesis on Calvinism. Also a minor detail: I'M NOT AUSTRALIAN

16. Roman Catholic Church :priest:
I grew up in the RCC...gives you an idea how much my thinking as changed!

I got a kick out of your response...knowing how you feel on that subject. ;)

Yeah, actually I left out one of the best ones; Roman Catholic. Given that I was initially raised in that but it was even further down the list :p

I got Methodist as my number one... I'm not even sure what that entails.

Does anybody have some reliable information I can go through about the Methodist Church?

It probably means little more than that you are deemed to be "middle of the road" overall.

Go to umc.org [think that's the website]. You can also ask about it in the Wesley's Parish Section of CF.

Thanks, but I'm assuming that you actually intended that helpful advice for "GarmentsOfPraise." I'm not looking for a new church and am familiar with Methodism--which is a " 'nuther matter altogether" from what causes this "denominational test" to come up with the recommendations it does. ;)

Yay Methodists

Umc.org is the United Methodist church; the more conservative branches are the Wesleyan Church and the Nazarene church as well.

I expected to get high marks for Quakers and Seventh-Day Adventists, who I respect a great deal, though I do not think the particular kind of worship is for me. I hadn't heard of the Unity Church before, though. Now that I have read a bit about it, it looks really interesting. Maybe it could be the one for me. Thank you for the denomination test!

#1 Baptist (Totally disagree. A few years ago, me and my family had a huge falling out with our Baptist church. Quite frankly, I am incredibly disillusioned with the Baptist tradition, and to some extent, Protestantism in general. I am now looking for another tradition and a change.)

#2 Catholic (Ok, that's interesting. I've had some interest. I have a rosary kit on order:) But I do wonder if I'm too liberal. And I'm skeptical of the Assumption and Immaculate Conception of Mary as being necessary points of doctrine, and I think the RCC tries to politicize itself too much. Ah well)

# 3 Methodist (I have no idea where this came from.... Its interesting, but not where I feel led.)

# 4 Orthodox (Interesting, I went to a Greek Orthodox service once and loved it. It was the full Liturgy, and I felt terribly weak for being unable to stand the whole time when there were elderly women managing it. I was impressed, to be sure. But again, I wonder if I am in fact too liberal. *sigh*)

# 5 Presbyterian (Interesting. The rest of my family now attends a Presbyterian church with some regularity. After leaving the Baptist Church, I think I was the one who was made most cynical, and haven't gone much at all)
