I watched the movie The conjuring. It is a horror movie written by Christian writers, so I wanted to check it out. It is based on the warren psychic researchers case files. In the movie Ed and Lorraine warren appear to be good people, but it is not really them, but actors playing their part.

After the movie I went to the warrens web site. These people claim to be Christians, but what I got from looking them over was they were stantic worshippers who hide behind Christianity and psychic research. If you think about if you wanted to get close to demons what better way than a psychic researcher. What i found most disturbing was they kept a collection of cursed objects they have gather from hauntings. They give tours of these things in what they call their occult museum. i find it odd they would keep these things to begin with. They say it is better to keep the vessels then to destroy it and release what is inside.

Loraine is a medium which the Bible forbids. What did Paul say test anyone who comes in the name of the Lord against the scripture. It appears Loraine does not hold up to that test.

So I question these people, first I use the Bible, then what i feel. i am sensitive to energy, be train to do things with it, but i don't. i can recognise energy because I have been dealing with many kinds for years. I am not a medium or psychic. It is like when you walk in to a place, and you get this feeling like something is watching you, or something feels wrong. Well i pay attention to those feelings. I do a lot of praying not to be mislead. It would be to hard to explain further, but I am on God's side. Unworthy, least of Jesus brother, but a brother none the less.

What my feeling told me about these people were they satanic pretending to be Christian. i found it interesting they are located not far from sandy hook, and I watch a video of their museum. I do not recommend this unless have dealt with demonic forces before. They had a satanic doll which they said was found in the woods behind sandy hook. If true satanist were worshiping right out side the school. This, if true, gives me a new view of what is happening in America.

I think everyone needs to be aware satanic are posing as Christian more often today, and you need to do as Paul said test anyone who comes in the name of the Lord against scripture. in fact I believe one satanic came on here asking for prayers. Me and other who prayed for this person had demonic activity happen to us that night.

So do we need to be afraid? no. Not if your a child of God, you have all authority in Christ. To put it in perspective you have every bit as much authority in Christ as a Seraphim. The highest ranking Angel, maybe more. You just have to believe it and use it.

I say this because we need to protect and be on the look out for people like this, because while we have protection those coming to Christ are vulnerable.

Please look out for one another, and pray as much as you can.

I saw the trailer from this, but I never would have guessed it was related to Christianity in any way. PluggedIn.com has a good summary of the movie and content and it sounds like a movie with Dark images and questionable theology. I don't know much about the Warrens - the info said they were Catholic - but I agree that practicing as a medium is counter to scripture. One possibility to consider is that rather than being satanists posing as Christians - they may be Christians who have been deceived and misled into doing and believing the things they do. I believe that true satanists are those that are conciously aware of the devil and choose to worship him instead of God, but that there are many other people that are misled and tempted by the power offered by the devil while thinking they are doing good. I personally know a couple that were rasied as Christians, but now do active ghost hunting and tours, practice palm reading, and believe that the father and son both lived previous lives as soldiers. They still profess to be Christians, but they do not realize their actions are not consistent with scripture. I feel sadness for them and pray that they will realize they have been deceived by the "powers" they have been given, which are demonic in origin.

They view themselves as fighting evil but they stroke interest in demons unintentionally. I know many paranormal enthusiasts say that they accidentally bring things home that turn out to be bad. So be careful what you wish for.

I guess when you lived it you never want to really be reminded of it.

Like i had watch video of their occult museum and last night at 5am i heard someone sit in my office chair in my bedroom. i looked, and it was facing right at me, i got went to the chair and felt pure fear coming from the chair, so I turned it around put it under the desk. while I was trying to get back to sleep I heard the chair move, it is very squeaky. i open my eyes, and the chair was out from the desk turned around and aging facing me. So then started me rebuking what ever it was, calling the names of God, and again blessing the house. It seems exciting watching on TV but when you have to go through that crap it is just a pain.

Okay...watched the movie. First off, very well produced and was actually scary. Which is hard to come by in today's horror films.

My question in to the OP: Can Satan drive out Satan? Matthew 12:26, Mark 3:23, Luke 11:18

Yet we find false disciples driving out demons in Jesus' name in the first century, and yet Jesus said "I do not know you."

I don't know if they were Satanic, but I do know that evil cannot drive out evil.

The horror culture has turned so many Americans into death worshipping ghouls, once midwestern Christian farmer communties now look like satanic death zombies from hell. They think evil is cool and wicked and good.

Calling something 'wicked' actually means it's cool, or something good.

Saying something is 'sick' means it's really good.

Real life is becoming worse than any horror movie, who the hell needs horror movies. When you are living in one, and it's real, it isn't cool or a thrill, because Satan isn't here to entertain you. His angels are here to use you to entertain themselves, and they have very sick tastes.

On another note, I did watch Skinwalker Ranch. *shivers.* I like docudramas and docuhorrors to a point. It is more intelligence gathering for me, but I have to be careful...

Yes, releasing "what is inside" can be devastating. But, better to not even have "it" in the first place, than to burden one's self about "releasing" something. The Holy Spirit is strongest.

On a side note, our home was attacked and infested with imps and demons. My mom had crystal mythical animals and other things she got from garage sales, and antique shows. Turns out, those things were amplifying doorways for what was already there. The townhouse in which we lived was, by the previous owner, used as a haven for ritual animal sacrifice. We wondered why we had all new appliances; it was because animals were cooked in the oven, and we had a three-day plumbing burden because animal parts were flushed down the toilet after sacrifice. My mom had a cedar-wooded post sleigh bed (they weigh like 200lbs - 300lbs.) Every week, we would notice it would move a few inches (based on carpet indention.) Eventually, my mom slept downstairs (she relented and slept on the downstairs couch.) She saw orbs, but I sorta scoffed at her until I saw one, and I felt the vibratory affect it had when it came toward me. I felt so bad for doubting her - I didn't really doubt her, but I didn't think her descriptions were less than embellishment. I saw the orb. I felt it on my shins.

We prayed together, then my mom got a text message that simply said, "*female dog*." We called the number back, and no such number existed (we got the operator telling us the call was incomplete because the number was no longer in service.) Needless to say, we got rid of everything we thought could be occult.

When my mother would go to work, I would hear guided footsteps upstairs - the same type of footsteps as if she was walking around in her bedroom. It wasn't random.

Funny thing was my cat I had wouldn't even pass over the threshold of my mom's bedroom (the place where the animals pieces were flushed down the toilet. I would try to push her over (to test my theory that something was going on,) but she would resist with all of her might. And, the room across from my mom's room was the office. I would go in and close the door (so the cat couldn't get in...there was no kitty litter upstairs.) She would cry and beg to let me in. The one time I let her in, she made a Bee Line under the desk, and just fell asleep immediately by my feet. I wonder what she saw...

The new-agers would call you an empath - a type of telepathy. I get the same feelings. I have a mild case of agoraphobia because I can perceive people's hate, anger, happiness, etc., and it affects my mood. It is also indicative of an intuitive personality. I am not a medium or psychic either.

From what I understand (from reading Enoch especially,) it isn't that God didn't want us to become "X-men" of sorts, it is that we were suppose to naturally learn things in our due season. You know He is all about natural and due season. I imagine after 10,000 years of living (maybe more,) we would learn a tidbit of insight on the OP, and we would be able to understand how to use it for holy reasons. Instead, some of us are spiritual babies running amok playing with "principalities" we know nothing about. Still, He gives us gifts according to our season, and His will. Prophecy is obviously a psychic phenomenon endowed by God Himself. But, prophets don't get to "control" their "prophecies," in the way Jean Grey or Professor X can.

GOOD. I am so glad you have that "new view." It is so much deeper than what is on the surface. As you saw above, I (and my family) have had unfortunately long dealings with "principalities." Orbs? Seen em. Black and/or white dots of lights that move with intelligence? Seen em. Sleep paralysis? Had it. Feelings of running from an entity only to wake up with inverted scratches (the kind that suggest something scratched you, not you scratching yourself?) Had em. The rabbit hole runs deep. Too bad others have not experienced it to know it exists, although, I wouldn't want them to.

Not many Christians have been tested and/or tempted with unseen principalities. It may be hard for the average Christian to believe these things exist, and that doorways (such as watching movies like the OP, or music, or going to a ball game) can make one vulnerable. The movie The Exorcist had 116 people die mysteriously on set before the film finished. Real magi and warlocks were hired to assist and oversee the incantations and rituals to make sure they were actually accurate representations. Hollywood is the wood that witches use for their incantations and spells (Holly Wood.) The battle of principalities is very real. Many of our brethren suffer without a voice to vindicate them for reason of unbelief or scoffing.

It sounds like you have been through some stuff yourself. I agree with must of what you said but disagree psychics are from God. The Bible speaks against them, while a person can have the gift of prophecy this is different than a psychic. Mediums are also forbidden. You seem to be a person of new age thinking. I had a very open mind for along time, i found the truth for me. Like i said i was trained and i study with many religious leaders who could do all kinds of thing. I am still very respect among my primary teacher and his students.

The truth is is there power out there sure, but its false. The power that comes from darkness can never be used against darkness. I know I tried. i trained with a Taoist Priest and while they don't claim darkness, my power came from a spirit which my teacher uses. i could do all kinds of things with this spirits power things most people would not believe possible, but when i got in trouble i found the limits. Which is there is no protection against the dark. This is a problem for me as i am a child of God. God showed me what power was literally, by showing me different parts of his spirit. Out of all the power i felt when I felt Jesus righteousness my mouth hit the floor. i understood this was less than a tenth of his power, and it was stronger than anything I have ever felt. Power belongs to God as the Bible says, and Power is not what most people think it is. Power is Love and Peace, I have seen demons flee when confronted with the Spirit of Peace which is Jesus. Its not aggressive. i don't feel powerful when I am in it. i am simply at Peace, but it is life, and It is stronger than anything I ever was aware of. i feel blessed and honored that Jesus Is teaching me, working with me.

Really once you know the power of God why would you seek anything else, but i don't follow him for power because i will never have it. Power belongs to God. I follow him because he loves me and i love him. The Bible says every knee will bow to God. do you think it because his Power. It is because His love, truth because all will say he is God, not because he can create universes, but Because he is Love. His power is unending, you could spend eternity and never full grasp it. And that is God.

So when he says I am the way the Light. I know this to be true, and what it is all about is love.

So, I have a question. If God is merely love (since I have seen this in many posts lately from many others), why is He sending people to hell? In His Holiness, God is as much wrathful as He is love. If His love was all He was then how would He be just by sending those who deserve hell to hell? If we simply preach of God's love and not of His wrath, we preach only half a god and not the God of scripture. There is no difference in the God of the OT than the One of the NT (as many proclaim today). Jesus Himself talked more about hell than He did heaven leading to the conclusion that in His love He is justified by condemning the lost to eternal separation from Him. Jesus spoke of hell so descriptively, that He did not speak in a parable about Lazarus in heaven & the rich man in hell. He said the rich man received his reward while on earth and in his unrepentence he was justly sent to hell where the worm doesn't die and the flame is not quenched. He was so vivid about it that the rich man who still had five brothers living asked for them to be warned so that they wouldn't come there with him. In God's power, love, and wrath, all knees will bow because He is Holy & worthy to be bowed before as God of all things. In His wrath, God is love by giving the sinner all he has asked for, a life separated from Him. We must preach God's wrath with His love or else we can't see our need for Him that we may repent and believe. It's ironic that God has always been found loving & wrathful until the turn of the 21st century & because He doesn't fit in with today's culture of political correctness, we adjust who He is so that His wrath is no longer justified in our eyes.

Ive never met a genuine medium but i didn't realize it was deemed evil.I say this because there doesn't seem a lot of difference between say praying for a deceased relative or contacting them through a medium.For instance say i said a prayer for my deceased grandparents or whoever hoping they are well and happy where ever they may be isnt that in fact what a medium does in a round about way.

Ah. Re-read my entire post. I abhor new-age theory. But, I am a physicist, and I have been exposed to the spiritual world in good and bad ways. Much of new-age is a "smattering" of that. I don't want "powers," I don't want to be an "indigo child," I do not want to be an "empath," I don't want to "travel to saturn." I am very well aware of new-age memes because I have researched it as an academic. My Father is The Most High whose name is holy - not to be spoken of casually, and my salvation is Christ Yahoshuah, who died for my sins, and was resurrected to glory at the right hand of God.

With that said, my testimony I posted is real. I know the spiritual realm is real, and it is unfortunate people scoff at it - or see it as fantasy. I have been attacked in profound ways that are not [necessarily, to my knowledge] connected to something I, or my family did. As I said, the previous tenant in the townhome I lived in as a teenager practiced ritual animal sacrifice.

Unfortunately, Adam abdicated power over this planet (read: dominion) to the Enemy. A lot of people blame God for the evil that happens on this planet, but they fail to realize we are descendants of a man and woman who were created as Godly children, but sinned and caused a curse of sorts on their offspring and generations. We do this to ourselves. Nevertheless, God is merciful.

So, to conclude: reread my post with the idea that I am not a new-ager. My testimony is real. I am just aware of the artifacts of new-age religion, and other religions, and I reference them with caution to give perspective.

Ive never met a genuine medium but i didn't realize it was deemed evil.I say this because there doesn't seem a lot of difference between say praying for a deceased relative or contacting them through a medium.For instance say i said a prayer for my deceased grandparents or whoever hoping they are well and happy where ever they may be isnt that in fact what a medium does in a round about way.

Actually we aren't called to pray for the dead, but the living that they may repent and believe. It is appointed once unto man to die, then the judgment. Once you die, there is no second chance at salvation. I did not know your grandparents, but nonetheless I do hope (not pray since that would be incorrect of me to do) they were saved, because the only place they will be "well and happy" is in heaven since those who are in hell are living in eternal torment according to Christ Himself. We don't pray for the dead because once dead, fate is sealed in eternity with no change to take place, ever.

So, I have a question. If God is merely love (since I have seen this in many posts lately from many others), why is He sending people to hell? In His Holiness, God is as much wrathful as He is love. If His love was all He was then how would He be just by sending those who deserve hell to hell? If we simply preach of God's love and not of His wrath, we preach only half a god and not the God of scripture. There is no difference in the God of the OT than the One of the NT (as many proclaim today). Jesus Himself talked more about hell than He did heaven leading to the conclusion that in His love He is justified by condemning the lost to eternal separation from Him. Jesus spoke of hell so descriptively, that He did not speak in a parable about Lazarus in heaven & the rich man in hell. He said the rich man received his reward while on earth and in his unrepentence he was justly sent to hell where the worm doesn't die and the flame is not quenched. He was so vivid about it that the rich man who still had five brothers living asked for them to be warned so that they wouldn't come there with him. In God's power, love, and wrath, all knees will bow because He is Holy & worthy to be bowed before as God of all things. In His wrath, God is love by giving the sinner all he has asked for, a life separated from Him. We must preach God's wrath with His love or else we can't see our need for Him that we may repent and believe. It's ironic that God has always been found loving & wrathful until the turn of the 21st century & because He doesn't fit in with today's culture of political correctness, we adjust who He is so that His wrath is no longer justified in our eyes.

I agree with a lot of what you said, particularly about Hell being eternal separation from God. I would like your thought on this.....if hell is eternal spereration from God, what do you think hell is like? Is there any love, compassion, sorrow, regret, etc in hell?

Hell - eternal separation from God's love and protection - is most likely a dog eat dog world. Entities with different strengths and powers fighting for domination. Like an Earth on steroids of extreme capitalism.

I know you didn't ask me for my input. Forgive me for imposing, but I have had the same question you have had.
