So, I have a question. If God is merely love (since I have seen this in many posts lately from many others), why is He sending people to hell? In His Holiness, God is as much wrathful as He is love. If His love was all He was then how would He be just by sending those who deserve hell to hell? If we simply preach of God's love and not of His wrath, we preach only half a god and not the God of scripture. There is no difference in the God of the OT than the One of the NT (as many proclaim today). Jesus Himself talked more about hell than He did heaven leading to the conclusion that in His love He is justified by condemning the lost to eternal separation from Him. Jesus spoke of hell so descriptively, that He did not speak in a parable about Lazarus in heaven & the rich man in hell. He said the rich man received his reward while on earth and in his unrepentence he was justly sent to hell where the worm doesn't die and the flame is not quenched. He was so vivid about it that the rich man who still had five brothers living asked for them to be warned so that they wouldn't come there with him. In God's power, love, and wrath, all knees will bow because He is Holy & worthy to be bowed before as God of all things. In His wrath, God is love by giving the sinner all he has asked for, a life separated from Him. We must preach God's wrath with His love or else we can't see our need for Him that we may repent and believe. It's ironic that God has always been found loving & wrathful until the turn of the 21st century & because He doesn't fit in with today's culture of political correctness, we adjust who He is so that His wrath is no longer justified in our eyes.

I am glad you asked it just so happens i can explain because God answer this for me.

God is love 1 john 4:8. Jesus said I have not come into the world to condemn it but to save it, that does not sound very wrathful to me. Does God have wrath yes the Bible tells us so, but lets look at hell.

Do you think God is siting up at night thinking of ways to torture people in hell? NO! so why do people go to hell. Well what is hell? It is separation from God. The punishment is separation from God, all good things come from God so if a person is cut off they get nothing Good. lets look at that for a min. Well on the seventh day God rested. Rest comes from God he created it. So if you are cut off you get no rest in hell. why because it comes from God and in hell a person is cut off from God. God is life so in hell you have the second death, why because the person is cut off from God from life. Suffering and pain are thrown into hell, why because they do not come from God, God is good. So you get pain and suffering in hell. Why because a person in hell is completely cut off from God and everything from him. It doesn't have to be all they have to do is chose God, repent. In this world we take criminals and put them in prison, we separate them from law abiding citizens. Do you think we are wrathful because we protect our society this way? No one feels sorry for a criminal. They understand we need this for some level of safety. So why is it when God separates people from him, people say that is awful. It would not be heaven if people ran around sinning and disobey God and hurt the good law abiding citizens of the kingdom now would it.

Let look at Gods wrath in the flood, well that sure is wrath, but why the people were so corrupt they were going to completely destroy the blood line of Jesus. So God stopped them.

Are you suggesting wrath is not Love. If I am a judge and it is my job to judge and a man keeps coming before my court for murdering people, and His victims and family cry out to me for justice and I sentence that man to death because I have had enough of him, take out my wrath on him. Does that mean i am not showing him Love. Would i be loving those families he slaughter if i let him get away, no, the man must be punished. I punish my child and I love him very much but there are things my child can do in this world in which it would be the end I could not help him and he would have destroyed his life. This is the wicked they destroy their lives. They push and push until they reach the wall where their is nothing left to push and then they must face all they have done and the punishment.

God is always Love and merciful, God is always God even in wrath and vengeance. There are not sides of God there is only lack of understanding him. A person may see part of God and see something else and think it is another side, the forget the first part of God they saw. and I say part because they were only looking at part of the picture. If you look at a painting of a field with a tree in it, the tree is still there even when you notice there is a sky to that painting.Is the paint parts? No it is a complete picture if you divide it it no longer makes up the picture. You have to look at it all to see its beauty.

Ive never met a genuine medium but i didn't realize it was deemed evil.I say this because there doesn't seem a lot of difference between say praying for a deceased relative or contacting them through a medium.For instance say i said a prayer for my deceased grandparents or whoever hoping they are well and happy where ever they may be isnt that in fact what a medium does in a round about way.

You lack understanding. They use spirit guides which are always demons that they nowdays claim are angels. Have you not heard Paul casting out a demon from a psychic medium, Or I think when king Saul it was went to a medium to speak with the prophet Samuel and God scared the lady to death because he sent Samuel back to speak to Saul. Why was the medium scared of Samuel if she talk to the dead because she did not talk to the dead but demons.

The Bible deals with this clearly.

Ah. Re-read my entire post. I abhor new-age theory. But, I am a physicist, and I have been exposed to the spiritual world in good and bad ways. Much of new-age is a "smattering" of that. I don't want "powers," I don't want to be an "indigo child," I do not want to be an "empath," I don't want to "travel to saturn." I am very well aware of new-age memes because I have researched it as an academic. My Father is The Most High whose name is holy - not to be spoken of casually, and my salvation is Christ Yahoshuah, who died for my sins, and was resurrected to glory at the right hand of God.

With that said, my testimony I posted is real. I know the spiritual realm is real, and it is unfortunate people scoff at it - or see it as fantasy. I have been attacked in profound ways that are not [necessarily, to my knowledge] connected to something I, or my family did. As I said, the previous tenant in the townhome I lived in as a teenager practiced ritual animal sacrifice.

Unfortunately, Adam abdicated power over this planet (read: dominion) to the Enemy. A lot of people blame God for the evil that happens on this planet, but they fail to realize we are descendants of a man and woman who were created as Godly children, but sinned and caused a curse of sorts on their offspring and generations. We do this to ourselves. Nevertheless, God is merciful.

So, to conclude: reread my post with the idea that I am not a new-ager. My testimony is real. I am just aware of the artifacts of new-age religion, and other religions, and I reference them with caution to give perspective.

Sorry if I got the wrong impression of you, my post was not just to you but i was keeping in mind other people would be reading it as well. I was not saying for sure you were this way or not, but thought it needed to be said even if you did not hold this view for other readers. I agree with a lot of what you said, particularly about Hell being eternal separation from God. I would like your thought on this.....if hell is eternal spereration from God, what do you think hell is like? Is there any love, compassion, sorrow, regret, etc in hell?

I explain this in my other post.

What is hell like. Some one said it was a dog eat dog world. Not So.People are in pain and suffering there. i don't think they can think of anything but there own suffering. There is nothing Good there nothing from God, so everything smells bad, no food because God created food, oh i think you would have the pain from hunger but you could not fill it as no food. No drink Bible even speak of this, Drinking came from God. So basicly if you picture being cut off from God and everything that comes from him You know what hell will be like if you know God.

Different people are in different pains and suffering because some are pushed further away from God to the bottom of hell where as some are not. The further you get from God the worse it is. God is heaven being with out God is hell.

I won't argue with you over God's wrath, because it would be pointless to do since they don't teach God's wrath anymore in America. We will agree to disagree I suppose. I will not overlook the verses that clearly state of His wrath, especially the verses where Paul plainly states we will be victims of His wrath unless we are saved. God is love and mercy, but God is also wrathful and vengeance His is sayeth Himself in Scripture. Go is more than love and all that is done is done for His glory, not man's. I met the Warrens almost 40 years ago at a lecture. I was impressed with them and believe that they were devout Christians. Ed Warren is now deceased and Lorraine must be getting up in years.

Actually we aren't called to pray for the dead, but the living that they may repent and believe. It is appointed once unto man to die, then the judgment. Once you die, there is no second chance at salvation. I did not know your grandparents, but nonetheless I do hope (not pray since that would be incorrect of me to do) they were saved, because the only place they will be "well and happy" is in heaven since those who are in hell are living in eternal torment according to Christ Himself. We don't pray for the dead because once dead, fate is sealed in eternity with no change to take place, ever.

I watched the movie The conjuring. It is a horror movie written by Christian writers, so I wanted to check it out. It is based on the warren psychic researchers case files. In the movie Ed and Lorraine warren appear to be good people, but it is not really them, but actors playing their part.

After the movie I went to the warrens web site. These people claim to be Christians, but what I got from looking them over was they were stantic worshippers who hide behind Christianity and psychic research. If you think about if you wanted to get close to demons what better way than a psychic researcher. What i found most disturbing was they kept a collection of cursed objects they have gather from hauntings. They give tours of these things in what they call their occult museum. i find it odd they would keep these things to begin with. They say it is better to keep the vessels then to destroy it and release what is inside.

Loraine is a medium which the Bible forbids. What did Paul say test anyone who comes in the name of the Lord against the scripture. It appears Loraine does not hold up to that test.

So I question these people, first I use the Bible, then what i feel. i am sensitive to energy, be train to do things with it, but i don't. i can recognise energy because I have been dealing with many kinds for years. I am not a medium or psychic. It is like when you walk in to a place, and you get this feeling like something is watching you, or something feels wrong. Well i pay attention to those feelings. I do a lot of praying not to be mislead. It would be to hard to explain further, but I am on God's side. Unworthy, least of Jesus brother, but a brother none the less.

What my feeling told me about these people were they satanic pretending to be Christian. i found it interesting they are located not far from sandy hook, and I watch a video of their museum. I do not recommend this unless have dealt with demonic forces before. They had a satanic doll which they said was found in the woods behind sandy hook. If true satanist were worshiping right out side the school. This, if true, gives me a new view of what is happening in America.

I think everyone needs to be aware satanic are posing as Christian more often today, and you need to do as Paul said test anyone who comes in the name of the Lord against scripture. in fact I believe one satanic came on here asking for prayers. Me and other who prayed for this person had demonic activity happen to us that night.

So do we need to be afraid? no. Not if your a child of God, you have all authority in Christ. To put it in perspective you have every bit as much authority in Christ as a Seraphim. The highest ranking Angel, maybe more. You just have to believe it and use it.

I say this because we need to protect and be on the look out for people like this, because while we have protection those coming to Christ are vulnerable.

Please look out for one another, and pray as much as you can.

good analogy brother! I have been accused of being legalistic because I don't listen to secular music, go to eating establishments which sells alcohol (I don't not think alcohol in moderation is a sin), nor do I frequent places are supportive of violence. While I do not judge those that do this, I have chosen not to so that I may honor my Savior and lend credibility to my testimony. I am called a to lead a life pleasing to my Lord and one that glorifies His name. By living like the world I live in complete contrast to being called to be in the world and not of it. Christianity has a bad enough rap without me lending anymore discredit to it by living in contrast to what I proclaim . Bless you brother!

Those are good rules. i was just watching Scrooge with bill murry and he was using the lords name as a swear word and he kept doing it like for times. It made me very mad and after that I know longer felt like watching the show. It is offensive and people do it often. My 5 year old started saying God in vain, I said no never do that he started saying gosh as his grandmother said he should say instead. i said no that is not ok. I said you can say oh my goodness, but that doesn't sit well either, so I tell him to use his words to express his frustration instead of saying words in vain.

It is sad when my 5 year old starts taking the Lords name in vain, it was just when i was a kid in the 80's that was a bad thing to do, now almost everyone does it. When i start getting lost I find my self doing it, but not in a long time.

The thing I learned is taking the Lords name in vain is like crying wolf and one time when you need Him He will not come. I think this is the price as He says You will be held accountable for taking his name in vain. I stopped taking his name in vain a while ago, now if i speak his name he is there before i finish. So i am pretty sure it is like crying wolf and the punishment is he will not show up or at least not right away. Now that is a scary thought.

I find i am changing so much and so fast sense my baptist in 2012 that I don't even like the same shows any more. I will not listen to anything now but Christian radio. i don't enjoy anything else. i find music pointless if not about God, starting to feel that way with movies. i just finished my first semester towards ministry. I have changed so much in Just 5 months, and i have 6 and half years left. my brother said well you will not be the same person by the time you finish, boy if that is not the truth, i am not the same person from month to month. God is Good and he really works in a person when you are ready to give everything to him, when you lay down your will and become co-dependent on God.
