1.please take him in place which is dry and have water,n please see that with in 10 meter ,no animal is their, n only you must hv people aroud u who r pious n r near u after taking bath.please don't increase number more than seven.
2.check this if that person is having burning sensation when u gave AZAAN(islamic call),this has to be done with exact translation ,n keep holding him,otherwise ,he will hit u with rage(ASK the Expert or IMAM of ISLAM,or any person who knows dua).
3.please stay near him around one meter say these verses ,

EP I would urge you whatever you do don't go outside of Christian churches for the solution to your problem if you do your playing with fire.These are serious spiritual things your are dealing with and if not handle properly your brother's condition could worsen or you could endup possesed yourself.

I trust the bible completely as it was written. I believe the earth is young. Evolution isn't correct because Evolution puts death before man was created, death was a result of sin entering in the world and Jesus is the only one who can save us.

I believe there was a global flood. I also have pets I love and take care of and God is an intelligent designer and I know that it must have taken one as smart as the LORD God to create someone like me who is "fearfully and wonderfully made" and "no one can take me away from my savior's hands. God also asks Job in Job Chapter 38... "where you there when I laid down the foundations of the earth?" meaning "where you there when I created the earth and the world?"

While I'm not ruling out anything demonic at this point, I'd say the first step would be to take your brother to see a doctor. Not a psychiatrist but a doctor. Any physician worth their license would do a detailed physical exam on your brother ruling out anything like brain tumors or whatnot before going to see a shrink. Rule out anything organic or any kind of disease before pumping him full of mind altering medication first and foremost!
I feel for you Eugene, It must be very hard to see a loved one come apart at the seams while feeling unsure of what to do to help. But even Christians can succumb to mental illnesses the same way people in general smoke, have drug/gambling/sex/food etc addictions and so on. *you said he was 27?* if it helps and your brother gets the medical attention he needs, the prognosis usually is good. Nice part here is that the older you are at diagnosis with mental illness, the less severe the disease itself is. With the proper help, medication? and support, this hopefully for you, your brother and your family will be the only or rare breakdown you see.

But to be honest, I'm a little more sketchy about this church you're attending. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's doctrines and liberal teachings are wrong. Plain and simple. They are lies told to make the masses feel better and justified for their actions. And please don't judge me or think me of being a holier than thou, but I fear that your lukewarm approach to Christianity may not be the best path. An easier one for sure! But there is no such thing as a moderate Christian. Either you believe with every inch of your being, or you don't.
But back to your brother, pray... pray hard, pray long and mean every word you say. God can do what man can't. God can do beyond the impossible.

I've come to this forum seeking help with some serious family troubles and need advice from my brothers and sisters in Christ. I believe that my younger brother has become possessed by the spirit of the recently deceased journalist Dr. Hunter S. Thompson and has cut off all communication with his family. I need help from strong Christians who are understand the nature of the spirit world and are going to take my story seriously. I come from a liberal church and nobody in my congregation is taking my family seriously- my pastor and others whom we have confided in are all convinced that my brother is schizophrenic. I am looking to get into contact with Christians who have experience with demonic possessions and know where my family can turn to get help for my brother.

I had always considered myself a "moderate" Christian (I accept evolution, big bang, old earth, etc.) I do not take the entire Bible literally (don't believe in the Great Flood, etc.) The church I attend is very progressive; we support gay rights, womens right to choose, etc. The majority of our congregation is made up of free thinkers, scientists, artists, etc. Demonic possession is something I have never believed in. This very disturbing event has forced me to change my views.

Two weeks ago, my older sister (Sondra) called me up, extremely distraught, telling me that our younger brother (Paul) had become possessed by a demonic spirit. She explained that she had not seen or heard from him in over two months (the two of them are very close and speak often) he was not answering her e-mails or phone calls. The day before, she had driven from her home in Tucson to his apartment in LA- he was not home so she waited for him in the parking lot for almost ten hours. When Paul finally showed up at 4AM, Sondra barely recognized him by his appearance. Paul was intoxicated, smoking a cigarette and carrying a bottle of bourbon in his hand- he was extremely paranoid, mumbling about Hubert Humphrey and Ed Muskie and had absolutely no idea who Sondra was.

As she began to describe the incident to me, I immediately concluded that Paul had succumbed to some sort of serious mental illness, like schizophrenia; signs of delusion (believed he was living in the year 1972) paranoia (kept asking Sondra if "one of Nixon's henchmen" had sent her...) but the more she went into detail, the more skeptical I became. I am now convinced that my brother is possessed.

Growing up, I was the wild kid of the bunch. Paul and Sondra both committed their lives to Christ in elementary school and neither one experienced "backsliding." Both my siblings were model Christian kids. While I was smoking marijuana, going to concerts and having sex in college, Paul was volunteering at the Salvation Army and working with Campus Crusaders. My little brother was the biggest goody goody you could ever meet- I never once heard him curse, never saw him smoke a cigarette; he didn't even have a drink on his 21st birthday!

So when Sondra went on to describe the conditions of Paul's apartment and the nature of the conversation she had with him that night, I began to think "this makes absolutely no sense! There is no naturalistic explanation for what is happening here!"

Here are the facts that convince me that my brother is possessed by the late Dr. Thompson:

- During Paul's conversation with Sondra, he was recalling a "disturbing conversation" he had just had with a "confidential informant" who told him that he had hard evidence that the Dolphins purposely lost the Super Bowl to the Cowboys and that "the Soviets were possibly involved." My brother hates football! He had no idea who played in this years Super Bowl, how would he know that Miami had plated Dallas in '72??? How was he able to recall, in detail, key plays in the game and that Ella Fitzgerald had performed at half time? He also told Sondra that he was still angry with Jan Werner (the publisher of Rolling Stone magazine) for cutting off his expense account (I looked into this and confirmed that Rolling Stone had indeed cut off Thompson's credit card during his coverage of the 1972 Super Bowl.)

- Paul has never read any of Thompson's books, probably never even heard of the man in the first place. So, even if this was a case of mental illness, how would he be able to recall so many details from Thompson's past? How would he be aware of so many of the man's idiosyncrasies? I spoke with Paul over the phone three days ago (in order to have a conversation with him, I had to tell him I was a student at UC Berkley, that I was a great admirer of his work and was doing a story on him for the school's newspaper.) His voice is unrecognizable as my brother; he mumbles in the same rhythm as Thompson, uses words like "swine" and "atavistic," and

-The last time I saw him he was working in a hospital billing office, volunteering part time with the youth ministry at his church. He has since quit his job, vacated his apartment and moved into a hotel in Hollywood. Has been drinking, taking LSD and hanging around with an outlaw motorcycle club! He told me that he was upset over the lack of success of his book "Hell's Angels" and had been riding with the Mongols working on a sequel.

I feel trapped and hopeless! I don't even know where to begin! Sondra understands much more about the Lord and the nature of the spirit world than myself, she has said that she believes that the only way to heal Paul is for the spirit to be cast out by someone whom God has gifted with the power to call out deamons. How would we even go about doing this???

Has anyone here had a similar experience? Or know of people who we could be put into contact with who would be able to help?

Also, something which has got me very confused; Thompson died in 2005, yet Paul believes it is the year 1972. Does anybody know what the explanation for this would be? There are many things we do not understand about the spirit world, but I would think that a spirit would remember it's entire life and not just up until a certain point.

Eugene, your post really concerns me alot. You need to get your brother some serious help. But ONLY if he really wants it. Schizophrenia is nothing more than a Psychological word used as a cover-up for demonic possession. I was possessed twice with a total of at least 8 demons if not more. Demons many times disguise themselves as a "lost" or "dead" spirit. I had most if not all the characteristics of Schizophrenia. I was on a lot of "brain" meds. They didn't seem to help other than to make me feel "drugged up" and numb. The "attacks", both mental and physical, really scared me. I searched many churches in my town and none of the preachers could help me. I think they were all afraid of me (or the demons). So I went online to research possession and find a Christian site. I repeated out loud these two prayers back to back. The demonic deliverance prayer and the salvation prayer. JESUS is the ONLY ONE that can deliver someone from these deceitful evil creatures. I put my heart and soul into these prayers. Your brother could do the same but he NEEDS to have the "true faith" in HIM. If I am right and your brother is possessed, he has lost his salvation awhile back. Something tragic may have happened to him (like a bad accident or death of someone close) that may have turned him against God. WARNING: once he does become delivered and saved (again), he NEEDS to keep his salvation by staying close to Jesus every single day with daily prayers, repentance, reading the Bible every day (or every other day), staying away from things that are not Christian such as "dark" video games, "bad" movies like horror, bloody, sexually oriented movies, etc. I became possessed again because I never thought I could "lose" my salvation so I went back to my old ways after I was delivered. BIG MISTAKE! This next time I found a "true" Christian Preacher. God had brought him to me through a friend of my family. If you choose to take him to a preacher, try a Nazarene Church, a Babtist Church, maybe one of the Lutheran churches, for starters. Do not try the Catholic church, 2nd day Aventist, Mormon church or Jehovah Witness. That may put you brother in further danger. No offense to them. There is a "lack" of belief in possession or of faith in Jesus among these churches. It will not be easy going this route but it is the RIGHT path to stay on. Remember this, demons will pounce heavy on TRUE Christians, especially formerly possessed people because "they" know them INSIDE and OUTSIDE, not just from the outside. The false Christians, back-slidden Christians, along with non-Christians, are rarely attacked because they are not a threat to satan, not until they start searching for the "TRUTH" and get closer to God. But the pain and persecutions for the next few years or so (until the Rapture) are far worth making it to Heaven to be with Jesus and some of our loved ones. If people do not have their Salvation when they pass away, they will spend an eternity in horrible Hell which is far worse than anyone's comprehension of "it". Please forgive me for any missspelling. May God Bless you and your family and may Jesus help your brother get through this very difficult time. Your brother could definitely use all the prayers he can get.

Grace, I got your PM but was not able to respond, says I do not have enough posts to reply. Thank you for your advice. Could you please elaborate on why the Deliverance Ministry is a bad option? I am not familiar with them. I have been trying to find a Pentecostal church in LA. From what I understand, God has given this church special gifts (tongues, etc) and it seems like they may be the best equipped to help Paul.

Brain damage or mental illness would have been my first guess... that could explain why he has suddenly taken on a new personality. But it does not explain how he remembers all these details from the past, or how a young man who used to wear a shirt and tie to work everyday suddenly has been able to hang around and be accepted by an outlaw motorcycle gang.

Getting him to see a brain specialist would be extremely difficult- he is paranoid beyond belief and believes that Richard Nixon has it in for him. Not to mention that he has no idea that I am his brother.

Have you ever tried to prove to your brother that the year is not 1972? That should be easy enough to do, and it might be enough to attack the integrity of his delusion or whatever it is. If he accepts that it's not 1972, he might realize who he really is.

Showing him the movie Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas might snap him out of it in short order, but on the other hand it may make him worse.

I have a sibling with bipolar disorder, and senile dementia runs in my family, so I am familiar with the pain of coping with sudden familial personality changes. I empathize with your worry and fear. Remember, your brother as a Christian will never be outside of Gods love. Nothing, not mental illness or demon will ever seperate you or your brother from Gods love.

Most exorcism websites I've researched and looked into have said that mental and physical evaluation ought always to precede exorcism to make sure the symptoms are perfectly canny.

The ritual of Exorcism can be very stressful and mentally scarring, so in my opinion the best type of exorcist is going to recommend getting rid of every possible variable, and then when nothing else can explain the symptoms, exorcism ought to be considered.

In the mean time I would suggest you attend meetings with a local NAMI group. They are a support group designed to help family members of the mentally insane cope with the prognosis. Even if you don't think he is mentally insane they can still give you tips on how to de-stress your life so you can get through this hard time with as much normalcy as possible.

There are all kinds of possible causes, brain tumor , poisoning (Plants)/ ( heavy Metals), drug use, psychotic break down, hormone imbalance, disease, or even a personal attack of some kind.

I would exaust all other possibilities before going Exorcism on him, he could have you locked up.

To be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. It can not be a persons spirit that has inhabited him.

If he is dangerous to himself or others, you can have him hospitalized for a 3 day psych. evaluation. And get some tests run on him.
