Drivel, a source pushing the fake "insurrection." There is no question most of the murders in this country take place by those on the left side of politics.

More drivel. The event quickly dropped out of the major news, just like Joe leaving Americans and allies in Afghanistan, mention anything contrary to the Democratic agenda and you are labeled a white supremacist. You make my point.

I'm sorry you think it's insults but it's completely true. You don't see things from our side. You don't see how every single shooter is always a radicalized right winger in the media. Somehow the Buffalo shooter was influence by Fox News and Tucker Carlson but his own manifesto said he hates Fox News. Every time a child is killed, it's heartless right wingers who are to blame because we value guns over the lives of children. No, we just have different opinions on how to handle the problem.

When Democrats riot and commit violence, it's Democracy in action. Our vice president support bailing leftist rioters out of jail who go back out on the street and cause more damage. Leftists constantly denied antifa was even a thing. They are against fascism, so it's okay they are attacking people in the street and threaten violence.

Violence on both sides is abhorrent. I do not paint the right as innocent. We have our share of bad apples. But I almost never see the left paint their own bad apples the same way. Especially in the media. You might think I'm just overexaggerating, but ask any Republican here how they think the right is portrayed.

It is generalizing a great deal, and frankly just whining about being a victim.

The Buffalo shooter is regarded as committing a hate crime due to his own statements and social media posts. I have no clue if he liked Tucker or not - what I read about it is that he posted on Discord and 4Chan and did not read any comment about Tucker related to him.

And no, not every time a child is killed, it is because of a heartless right winger. The shooter in Uvale was hispanic and a very disturbed person. Where the anger from the left comes in is in regards to the failure to take any meaningful action regarding guns - like universal background checks.

And if you are implying that all the looters and rioters in the summer after George Floyd died, well, most of those were gangs who probably care less about Dems or Reps. Same with many of the street people and runaways that caused problems in Seattle and Portland. Most of the actual protests for George Floyd were peaceful. Gangs and Oathkeepers and Proud Boys and the other odd groups - and perhaps some Antifa - were behind the rioting.

What you wrote is drivel. You make claims with no support. No, most of the murders or crimes that are politically motivated are by the far right.

And it was an attempt to overturn the election. It was violent and criminal and an absolute disgrace on the part of the Republicans that are minimizing it.
When I read stuff about a "fake insurrection", I picture a person with their fingers plugging their ears saying "lalalalala" real loud so as to not hear the truth.

No, the event did not drop out of major news. If you think it has, then you have been limiting yourself to far right news that wants it to be dropped. That is pathetic.

Where is there an apology for Trump in the op

An apology in the strict sense is a defense. Trump frankly isn't worthy of that kind of devotion, and it shows a lack of character that many conservatives gravitate around this odious man.

Every person is entitled to have their side of a disputed presented. I do not agree with some people who want to shout down all views except their own because they cannot handle the truth and do not know how to take differing views and analyse them to arrive at and intelligent decision

It's not something you would read about in the mainstream media. Sadly black communities like Chicago have so many murders, that will not change until there are more fathers (as Obama made clear) and also school choice. Year after year most of the murders were committed by blacks, Chicago is an example of a city run by Democrats. Blacks lean heavily toward the Democrats (left).
Arrests by offense, age, and race

I thought the Left wanted to be more like Europe. Hungary is only cracking down on what they consider to be "hate speech" and "misinformation". I wonder if they were successful in creating a " Ministry of Truth" like Biden tried to do? Perhaps Hungary is following our example for a change.

Apologizing for Trump doesn't help conservatives' credibility.

Talking about threatening judges with protesters.

If it's a valid means of seeking justice....what exactly was the problem with all those lynchings in the past?

Personally, I see no good coming from the protest of any court actors.....judges, lawyers, bailiffs, stenographer, etc.

As for counter protesting. I think it should be limited to the day after what is being counter protested. I only see violence breaking out in these situations

Given the muder rate.... 330 over 10 yraea isn't exactly a unbelievable number when you consider that's the majority demographic.

That’s 75% of all the deaths caused by political violence in the U.S. Islamic extremists accounted for most of the rest. Left-wing or anarchist violence made up 4% of the deaths.

75% seems like a lot. Especially for political violence murders. Last time I checked, these men were frequently either holding down bad jobs, and committingb armed robbery....and the rest tended to be drug addicts. Almost none were political.

Well, as I said, I looked at each of the cases cited. Unfortunately, ADL isn't the organization it used to be.

You are moving goalposts in a major way. That is something done when one's argument is lacking. You moved from talking about political terrorism by party to general crime.

The right loves to point to Chicago, which has a terrible problem decades in the making and unique to large cities. But gun violence is a big problem elsewhere.

Check out which states have the highest firearm death rate per 100,000 persons. Check the map and look at how bad the Republican led states are doing.

Stats of the States - Firearm Mortality

States with the most gun violence share one trait - CNNPolitics
The top states by gun death rates are:
  • Mississippi -- 28.6.
  • Louisiana -- 26.3.
  • Wyoming -- 25.9.
  • Missouri -- 23.9.
  • Alabama -- 23.6.
  • Alaska -- 23.5.
....
All of those states with the highest gun death rates are among the ones with the highest gun ownership rates.
  • Mississippi -- 50% of adults live in a household with a gun.
  • Louisiana -- 48%.
  • Wyoming -- 59%.
  • Missouri -- 48%.
  • Alabama -- 50%.
  • Alaska -- 59%.
.....
According to Everytown's analysis of FBI data, the cities with the highest gun homicide rates in 2020 were all in states with lax gun laws:
  • Jackson, Mississippi -- 69 gun homicides per 100,000 people.
  • Gary, Indiana -- 64.
  • St. Louis -- 50.
  • New Orleans -- 48.
  • Memphis, Tennessee -- 47.
Baltimore, where the gun laws are relatively strict, was next.
In this data is the fact that suicide by gun is rising. It is mentioned in the article.

Here is an article from December 2021.

'It's just crazy': 12 major cities hit all-time homicide records

At least 12 major U.S. cities have broken annual homicide records in 2021 -- and there's still three weeks to go in the year......

Ah, baloney! Most murders are committed by men. Most men are right-wing. Therefore...

NB: to the logicians amongst us, yeah, I know.

What a laughable OP when you consider the right's response to January 6. I mean it's factually inaccurate (there was no "attempted murder"; "Trump asked protests WHEN HE HEARD THERE WAS TROUBLE" [factually innaccurate...he waited a LONG time and many of his minions PLEADED with him to stop and he refused]). I mean you have a committee that has tangible evidence, recorded conversation, present emails with a plan, and you're going to ignore the reality of physical evidence because "the left is just making political hay". Yes...making hay of trying to undermine the Constitution and American democracy.

What is the point in having these disingenuous conversations?
The right wants A "Democrat" to do stop something (cause only one has said something disconcerting at this point...at least only one example in regards to the Supreme Court is ever noticed) that Republicans have been doing since up to, AND including January 6, 2021?

Why would a left leaning Democrat want to engage in that discussion at all when you were uninterested in reigning it in on the other side of the spectrum?

Actually, forget reigning it in, many didn't even believe there was any inflammatory speech to begin with. And now there is pearl clutching?

I would have more hope for America is reliable data informed opinions and not preconceived notions based on talking headed drivel. Sadly, it seems far too many are allowing their standard of evidence slide to "no actual meaningful evidence whatsoever"
