Stop targeting sanctuary cities.
In fact, make sanctuary cities the only place where illegal immigrants aren't deported.
Then those cities can enjoy all the benefits that illegal immigrants bring, like lower crime and more tax revenue (supposedly)
The people seem to want them there so give the people what they want
If they have committed no other crimes I would even give them the option, be deported or relocated to a sanctuary city

He got out of the car to do the robbery, then fled in the car. I rammed the car and made it wreck, he ran with a gun and I hit him with my car and knocked the gun out of his hand.

You don’t know much about law enforcement. He had just robbed someone and was holding a gun out the window. He didn’t politely pull over when I turned the blue lights on. He couldn’t get his arm turned to a position where he could shoot me. It turned out he was the same person who tried to shoot me 10 years earlier. What would have been reckless would have been to let him continue his crime spree
