But it looks like you are giving him ideas and facts. But what are we guaranteed by trusting Jesus?Jesus Christ is the only way
Hello everyone, I have been actively trying to evangelize to people but I am lacking a lot of biblical knowledge. I can testify well to a certain extent, and don't speak on things I don't know, make things up, or sugar coat anything, but when I'm dealing with someone who has a lot of questions and needs a lot of evidence I have trouble. I've had this friend for multiple years. He's pretty intelligent and open minded, but he has a side to him that is so thick headed and arrogant it's quite frankly unbelievable, but I won't really be elaborating on that. Yesterday me and my other friend, who is a new Christian, and has been studying a good amount, were trying to enlighten him on how evil the world is, how close we are to the rapture, that Catholicism is not Christianity, and that Jesus Christ is the only way. He agreed and was open minded about some things, but he's set in this mindset to where nothing is absolute, and we don't actually know anything for sure. I told him that's true for the most part, but the word of God is 100% accurate, and I know it's 100% true. It's his Word and he does not lie. God is all knowing and sinless. His argument is that the text has been carried down and modified for years, and example of this is the book of Enoch being removed, so we don't know for sure if that's 100% accurate either. Is there any way to disprove him on this matter? I quite literally had absolutely no clue what to say. Please someone help me with this, my friend can be a huge pain in the butt but I want him to go to heaven, just like I do everyone else. I want to do my best to help him get there.

I'm only responding to highlight your comment. This is excellent advice. It sounds like you are more interested in debating than evangelizing. I was like that too when I was young. What I learned was that all of my debates accomplished nothing, other than hard feelings. My focus shifted to what I know is true about the Word, and not trying to discredit the belief of others, because that puts them on the defense. Personal testimony is powerful, because it is personal experience. The most effective is like the blind man; "I once was blind, but now I see." Paul says to speak gently and with kindness. Since I shifted away from debate, my testimony is much more effective.
My young Brother, may God bless you and keep you, and use you to the advancement of His Righteous and Glorious Kingdom.Hello everyone, I have been actively trying to evangelize to people but I am lacking a lot of biblical knowledge. Regarding the book of Enoch, there's no way to disprove it, not everything needs to be disproved. Just acknowledge some things about it. The book of Enoch is a part of Jewish history.Hello everyone, I have been actively trying to evangelize to people but I am lacking a lot of biblical knowledge. The #1 thing is to put the word into their hearts and minds. All the rest is just a vehicle for that goal. It is the word and the word alone that gets people saved. Faith comes by revelation, and revelation comes by a spoken word from Christ. If they get the word, the word gets them! So while you are conversing with people, just be sure to repeat the word again and again. Use their questions as an invitation to feed the word to them. Do not get distracted from pushing the word. End every explanation with the word.Hello everyone, I have been actively trying to evangelize to people but I am lacking a lot of biblical knowledge.
