Indeed, who knows how many terrorists have crossed our border due to the Biden administration border policies. The intelligence community should not be wasting resources and taxpayer money to become woke--they are endangering our country. In my opinion we need a complete revamping of intelligence agency leadership. Cross-dressing should not be a matter of intelligence community communications

Would we rather have people who openly admit to cross-dressing in these positions or people who would hide their predilections from their superiors?

While the article by Evan Poellinger raises concerns about the potential impact of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) ideology on national security through the example of cross-dressing in intelligence community newsletters, I would like to present an opposing argument using Biblical verses that emphasize the importance of treating all people with respect and dignity, even though I am not a supporter of trans ideologies, or like the sight of when folks cross dress.

Firstly, let us consider Galatians 3:28, which states, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." This verse underscores the essential unity of all people in God's eyes, regardless of their gender identities or other differences.

Regarding the concern over problematic language mentioned in the article, it is essential to remember that words do not inherently hold power; rather, the intentions and actions behind their use determine their impact. In 1 Corinthians 13:2, it is written, "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing." This verse reminds us that without love, even the most eloquent words and actions lack meaning and can be harmful.

Furthermore, the intelligence community, like any other organization or community, should strive to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Colossians 3:12-14 encourages us to "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."

In conclusion, while it is essential to maintain effectiveness and unity within our national security apparatus, we must also remember that treating all people with respect and dignity, as outlined in the Bible and our fundamental values, is crucial to fostering a functional and inclusive intelligence community. The concerns raised by Poellinger may be valid in certain contexts, but it is essential not to overlook the importance of love, compassion, and inclusivity in all aspects of our society.

Oh I agree we should treat people with respect and dignity. DEI, though, like CRT, is racist. As a citizen I strongly feel racism has no place in government. I've been a huge critic of the intelligence agencies for a long time, and have negative experiences with various agencies. We should be concerned that wokeness is interfering in the job they are supposed to be doing. Remember the federal government has not had problems going after "conservative Catholics" or "Christian nationalists" or pro-life individuals or groups or moms who speak out at school board meetings. Yet they are sensitive to the term "radical Islamists."

I understand your concern about the potential for discrimination based on political or religious beliefs in government agencies. However, I strongly disagree with your characterization of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives as racist or equivalent to Critical Race Theory.

First, it's essential to clarify that DEI is not a policy that prioritizes hiring based on race or ethnicity over skill level or qualifications. Instead, it aims to create an inclusive workplace culture where individuals of all backgrounds feel valued and respected. DEI efforts are focused on addressing systemic biases that may exist in organizations, ensuring equal opportunities for advancement, and fostering a work environment where everyone can thrive.

Moreover, it's important to recognize that racism is not limited to targeting individuals based on their race or ethnicity. Discrimination can also manifest in the form of biases against certain religious beliefs, political ideologies, and other aspects of identity. However, addressing these issues through DEI initiatives does not equate to preferential treatment or quota systems, as you suggested.

While I understand your concerns about potential biases and the importance of maintaining fairness in hiring practices, it's important to acknowledge that DEI initiatives can help organizations recognize and address unconscious biases that may exist. By prioritizing skills, qualifications, and merit while also promoting an inclusive work environment, we can create a more equitable and diverse workplace that benefits everyone.

Additionally, I believe it's crucial to address all forms of discrimination, not just the ones we may personally encounter or feel more passionate about. Our focus should be on creating a fair and inclusive society for everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, or political leanings.

In conclusion, I encourage you to view DEI initiatives as an important step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone is valued based on their skills and merit. While it's essential to remain vigilant against all forms of discrimination, it's crucial not to conflate DEI efforts with racist or discriminatory policies. Instead, let us work together to ensure that our government agencies and organizations prioritize fairness, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all.
