After reading something in another thread curious as to what you all see as the definition of SIN.

Sin (singular) is not believing on Christ. Sins (plural) are sinful acts that result from unbelief. I base that on John 16. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin [singular] . . . 9 of sin [singular], because they do not believe in Me.

To understand how all-encompassing The Great Exchange truly was, you have to realize that the word sin there does not just refer to what we'd normally think of as religious errors. It includes everything in our lives that falls short of the glory and perfection of God's original design (see Romans 3:23).
