Many of those who have taken certain glances at "christianity" believe it is hypocritical, racist (many racial demonstrations have been done in the name of Christianity - KKK was protestant, Aryan Nations was started by a Priest in Idaho, The Catholic Church has supported many anti-semetic movements), self-righteous, arrogant etc. basically everything "christianity" claims to preach against.
Any defense in that? any reason why people should not believe it? any reason why people have commited acts completly opposite to what we preach?
Anyone read "Blue Like Jazz" there is a segment in it in which a believer and his friends build a confession booth on campus during a campus kegger. Those who walked into the booth were confronted with confession from the beleivers. This guy told the "customers" how he was sorry for all the acts people had commited in the name of Christianity in the past. I guess the passion this guy showed that he wanted to share God with people but couldnt because of **** ups in the past by "Christian" terrorists strongly affected the partiers that some of them left the booth in tears.
