But an interesting thing happened yesterday morning. I was stressed out about losing work time over shovelling snow and I was stalling on going outdoors and facing it. I like this Isaiah quote because it fits very well with part of my Philippians quote, "4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." The more I think on,or pray about, this quote, the more I sense that God is organizing every bit of my life perfectly.

Rev 21:4 I'm not sure about the context of this one, but it makes me feel relief, as if God were saying "The worst is over. You've been tempered for a better existence."

Col 3:16 reminded me that "Blessed Assurance" is one of my favorite hymms!
It makes me trust in being lost in God's Love. Here are the lyrics:

It is always so wonderful when God shows us what we need for whatever situation we are dealing with. I find such comfort and safety from His word. That is a wonderful hymn.

Your comment fits so well with part of my favorite quote in Philippians 4:6-7:

"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Often I feel I am firmly in place within God's Peace all at once no matter what is up just by praising the Lord...which brings me to God's Kingdom. And God's Kingdom always makes me feel my life is firmly in place.

Hi! I'm pretty new to the forum. Let's see... I serve God in many capacities. I'm an author striving to minister to hurting people through the written word. I'm also a mental health professional who works with incrcerated youth and a Youth Ministry Teacher. Oh- and one of my biggest jobs is being a mother to my amazing little boy. It seems like you're a busy Christian. I'm nothing more than a CRM manager/dispatcher of representatives for a Christian Banker-Realtor and I maintain a humble, productive relationship with all the members of the company and manage to keep up a daily, basic happiness with them. Just yesterday, I emailed everyone in the office and asked them to think of a great sacrifices that came back greater than before and told them this was the spirit of Easter. Many of them emailed me back their thoughts and thanked me. I am unmarried and alone, but grateful that I have these people to think about and always get positive responses from, as if they were my family.

I called myself Christianemploymentseeker when I first came here, because I am always looking for extra contract employment. But I wonder about other things such as whether I can find some helpful inspiration to quit drinking black, therefore, highly-caffeinated, tea. It hurts to admit this, but I am afraid to go through daily life without the help of caffeine. I'm grateful to God that I was able to leave coffee for tea, but I still have that fear of not having tea. I'm also grateful to God that this is the only "drug" problem I have. I can't help but wonder, from your credentials, whether you have any advice for me on this matter. To me it's a something for which I have to maintain faith that the Lord will lead me away from it at the right moment.

I rely on my favorite quote from Philippians 4:6-7:

"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I am familiar with "Here I am Lord" and I can't help feeling that if you sang this song at your wedding, you were promising the Lord that you would be the one who would lead your family and friends through times of trouble for him.

I am a single man and I'm lucky to be married to my computer and telephone which in turn keep me married to an office full of people at distant location from me, people that I care about--I manage the company's CRM--and people that I dispatch around the my state for various financial services appointments. They love me and I love them.

I am also someone whose parents had differrent religions: My mother was a Catholic and my father was a Protestant(I'm not sure exactly what kind of Protestant), and I grew up with almost no religious learning. Over the years, I gradually came to appreciate the Bible, and I finally learned to look for goodness in everyone and not concern myself over any denomination in particular. For years I felt like I was nowhere, but since I've been expressing myself to people here in Deeper Fellowship at Christian Forum, I at least feel like I'm somewhere.

Below is a favorite hymm of mine, Blessed Assurance. I like it because I want to keep a happy trust-filled heart even through the toughest of times.

Hi, I have registered on this forum a few years ago, but I have been away, because of being very ill, for nearly 2 years, when leastone was posting I would like to come back, and go over again not only his postings but all the others as well, and of course post my self thank you. Elshevia.

I have only known the more recent postings at Deeper Fellowship, but I have just put out a search for leastone, and I see how wonderfully inspiring he has been to others, and I even saw some of your previous messages to him. Praise the Lord for his existence.

May I ask what kind of illness you were dealing with? I certainly hope and pray that the Lord has you in his healing hands. I myself came to Christian Forum with different concerns, and one of them--please don't laugh--is being addicted to caffeine. I am afraid to go through a day without drinking black tea, which is better than coffee, but still a terrible habit because of the strength and volume by which I consume it. I'm asking the Lord to help me break free and I do believe that by coming to the Christian Forum and participating when I can, He will help me out.

This is my busy tax preparation weekend, so I am going to be brief. But I would be glad to see any of your new postings. Within a few days, I will have reviewed leastone's old postings--and yours, and will get back to you with any thoughts I have about his postings. If we can't bring him back, his spirit will be with us.

Thank you for your lovely reply, I am glad to be back, I spent about 2-3 hours yesterday looking for leastone's Posts. and some of my own, I found his but not my own, but that's all right I was taken over 2 years ago apparently sitting at home and walking about with my body being septic with a high fever of 40 degrees, and they found an Abscess in my lower Bowl,? which they cut out
I am more or less recovered now but I still have trouble with my left leg{ and they the doctors don't know why}... but I manage some how. and I love this line of Christians doing there up most to reach their goal of practicing in the presence of God, lets help one another to reach that goal together, and share one another burdens, in Jesus Name, God Bless each and every one of us.

I'm looking for prayer partners to pray with and for. I am a 28-year-old woman from South-Africa, and a non-denominational Christian.

Sorry it took me 11 days to get back to you, Elshivia! Like many people I'm burdened with a heavy work schedule, and I'm so grateful that I finally found time to take a look at old postings by LeastOne, and, praise the Lord, was I stunned by what he has to say. I chose to re-post one of his old postings(November 1, 2003!!!) below because I was so taken up with his notion that Jesus heals different people in different ways--and I believe that is very true. On top of that, the healed cat and the healed woman became companions later in their lives. A wonderful story! It makes me feel that we can heal one another by uniting our spirits in the Christian Forum.

Welcome, Miarka! Sorry it took so long for me to answer your first posting. I hope that the re-printed posting below from an Christian Forum old-timer, LeastOne, will appeal to you and give you strength and encouragement. I have found myself in the company of a grumpy suffering war veteran in life, and I seen the transformation that kindness and tolerance and even financial assistance brought him. I have also wished to start viable businesses where I could offer good solid employment to people whose trust I've earned and developed--and I pray that that my wish comes true someday. I have also been battling with something that I ashamed to mention, but must, in all trust in the lord, and that is caffeine addiction(in the form of tea, since I at least managed to quit drinking coffee). I have a great fear of not having caffeine by which to wake up, and to stay awake, every day, and I trust in the Lord that the confession of this will help me to quit someday. I welcome your being as specific as you need to with your prayer requests, and would be glad to discuss any bible topic/verse you care to share. We are all different and we all suffer differently and we all heal differently.

Hello, Again, Parsonsmom! Good to know you are still there. I may well want to visit you on Facebook someday. Right now, I'm buried in old postings by LeastOne, who Elshivia brought to my attention. He seems to be quite an inspirational teacher. I pray for his soul wherever in God's creation he is now, and am so glad his spirit is alive. The hope of love and healing lies in the old posting I re-posted below. I hope all are blessed by it.

But mostly she was the most traumatized animal I have ever seen; you could see it in her eyes, that whatever had happened to her in her previous life had not been good.

We set food and water out for her, but if we came anywhere near her she would cring down, panic in her eyes, ready to run. We decided that rather than traumatize her more by pushing ourselves on her, we would just let her alone to realize for herself that she could trust us. She made herself a bed under an old chair we had, and for the first month or so would hardly come out except to eat and go outside to the restroom. In time, by showing her kindness but requiring nothing in return she eventually realized we meant her no harm, and learned to trust us, allowing us to pet her and even enjoying it. Later, when we had to move, we found her a good home where she is today. And she has become the most loving, sweetest cat; even her looks have changed to where she is actually cute.

I know a woman who didn't leave home until she was 39 years old; up until then she was berated and belittled constantly, forced to chauffer her mother everywhere, basically allowed no life of her own. Finding thoughts of suicide growing stronger and stronger in her, she finally had to just run away from home. Having nowhere to go, she lived with us for a while, until she could find a job. Quite honestly, the darkness surrounding this woman at first was extremely difficult to be around. The spirits of oppression were so heavy around her they were almost physically felt; it was nearly impossible to even have a normal conversation with her because everything that came out of her mouth was so filled with depression and despair.

Rather than have us directly confront her, or go through a lot of spiritual warfare, the Lord asked that we just allow her to be, and for us to just love her. So, that is what we did (as difficult as that was at times). But today, she is a totally different person; saved, and developing her own life. And though she can still be a little much at times, it is mild in comparison - and it has only been a couple of years.

The point of all of this is that there is no set formula that always works for every person and every situation. Jesus healed each person differently when He walked the earth, and He does the same today. It is only by diligently seeking the Lord for whomever He brings our way that we can truly minister His Life to that person. Often He will lead us to just be a friend to them. And we never go wrong with kindness and real loving acceptance.

Col. 3:12 - "And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience..."

By the way, we gave the cat to the woman and both are doing well together.

In Psalm 145:4, the word praise, in connection with God’s works means "to commend" The writer says that one generation shall praise God’s works and declare His mighty acts to the next generation. Many times in Israel’s history the people were admonished by God to tell their children of His wondrous works in delivering them from Egyptian bondage and of their supernatural preservation in the wilderness. This trait of transmitting Christian faith to each succeeding generation is one that the Lord said was resident within the genes of Abraham (Genesis 18:19). Surely, with deep gratitude we should be thankful that our parents commended and even recommended the works of God, extending from creation to the regenerative work of Christ on the cross for us, so that this flame of righteousness may be kept alive in the earth.

In the book of Hebrews, the writer is quoting the Psalmist David (Psalm 22:22) in reference to Jesus Christ as saying, "in the midst of the church [or congregation] will I sing praise unto thee" (Hebrews 2:12). The word praise in this verse means "to sing a hymn" in order to make known to the congregation of Israel the purpose and plan that the Heavenly Father has in store for the congregation.

We see according to the record in the Scriptures that there have been many different ways in which our Israelite forefathers have praised God. They praised Him with their vocal cords: "I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; . . ." (Psalm 109:30); they praised Him with uplifted hands: "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD." (Psalm 134:2); and praised Him by clapping: "0 clap your hands, all ye people; . . ." (Psalm 47:1). We also read where the children of Israel are admonished to praise God with a variety of musical instruments (Psalm 150); by dancing (Psalm 149:3, 150:4), while standing in the House of the LORD (Psalm 135:2) and while lying down in the bed (Psalm 149:5).
