• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It has been coming for a long time and particularly over the last five months. I have left the Christian icon behind me fully. I have adopted the pagan icon as I find more comfort in following it than I ever did Christianity.

This is not to say I do not still hold Jesus in the highest of esteem and I believe on his words that we are to love one another. Of all the humans who ever walked this earth his example and his willing self sacrifice has set a standard for me that I will never forget.

Peace to you all,
Casi

Hi Casi,

I'm curious, does this change mean you have adopted a new metaphysical outlook?

A CF icon says nothing about a person's religious beliefs. So I'm curious to know, do you simply not want to be bound by the Nicene Creed belief requirement of this forum? Or do you really not believe in orthodox Christianity?

Namaste Casiopeia,

thank you for the post.

it requries a great deal of courage to subject ones religous beliefs to the critical process of analysis since, in a very real sense, you are also critiquing the time spent living with that view.

often, the very thought that we have spent time in a manner uncondusive to our spiritual welbeing is enough to prevent one from doing any critical analysis.

it is to your credit that you were able to do so.

i hope that your path brings you the joyousness which i experience in my path and fulfills your spiritual needs.

metta,

~v

Just my opinion... but I believe that even though you are a pagan, you are still following Jesus' teachings much better than many who call themselves Christians.

I reject the Nicene Creed and I reject orthodox Christianity...but then you knew that arunma. You and others for months have been shoving it in my fact that I am not a "true" christian. well guess what...I have come to the point that if this is really and truely christianity and I see that it is ...NO THANK YOU!
