  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I lived in Glenside in the 70s. Haven't been back since. I now live in Dallas, TX, Also called the Big D.
God bless you TogetherForever. It has been 2 years, and I am just now reaching the point where I am thinking about removing my wedding ring. I plan to wear it around my neck as a reminder of my beloved wife.

I have stopped wearing my wedding ring, but I wear Terry's wedding ring on my right hand, with a ring that Terry had given me years ago.

I went back and forth with my wedding ring. Sometimes wearing it, sometimes not. At times it was comforting and other times it felt like a lie--I'm not married anymore why wear a wedding ring. My grief counselor told me there were no rules. If I wanted to wear it, wear it; if not, then don't. For now, I am not wearing my wedding ring, but I know that could change. and, it's ok.

that is true. I agree. With grief there are no rules. It is different for each person.
