I am going to show that there are false brethren and that these false
brethren, as well as false prophets and teachers will deceive many. Which
included the Apostle Peter in Galatians chapter two. What we will need is
scriptural build up, which means , information that this is true according
to the scriptures.
Matthew 24:4 - "And Jesus answered and said unto them , Take heed that no
man deceive you"
Matthew 24:5 - "For many shall come in my name, saying , I am Christ ; and
shall deceive many"
Matthew 24:11 - "And many false prophets shall rise, and deceive many"
Matthew 24:24 - "For there shall arise false Christ's and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders ; insomuch that, if it were possible
, they shall deceive the "very elect"
Luke 21:8 - " And he said , Take heed that ye be not deceived : for many
shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ ; and the time draweth near : go
ye not therefore after them"
I Corinth. 6:9 - "Be ye not deceived"
I Corinth. 15:33 - "Be ye not deceived"
Galatians 6:7 - "Be not deceived ; God is not mocked : for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap"
Galatians 6:8 - "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption ; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting"
Galatians 6:9 - "And let us not be weary in well doing : for in due season
we shall reap, "if we faint not"
I John 1:8 - "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves , and the
truth is not in us"
I John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins , he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins , and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"
I John 1:10 - "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar , and
his word is not in us"
II Timothy 3:13 - "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse ,
deceiving , and being deceived"
EVIL MEN
II Corinthians 11:26 - "In journeyings often , in perils of waters , in
perils of robbers , in perils by mine own countrymen , in perils by the
heathen , in perils in the city , in perils in the wilderness , in perils in
the sea, in perils among false brethren"
Galatians 2:4 - "And that because of "false brethren" unawares brought in,
who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus ,
that they might bring us into bondage"
UNAWARES - hidden liars - concealed
Hebrews 13:2 - "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers ; for thereby "some"
have entertained angels unawares" = Spiritual influence from the adversary
and / or devil spirits.
Galatians 2:6 - "But of these who seemed to be somewhat ( whatsoever they
were, it maketh no matter to me : God accepteth no man's person
for they
who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me"
Galatians 2:7 - "But contrariwise , when they saw that the gospel of the
uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was
unto Peter: "
Galatians 2:9 - "And when James , Cephas , and John , who "seemed" ( outward
appearance) to be pillars , perceived the grace that was given unto me, they
gave to me and Barabas the right hands of fellowship ; that we should go
unto the heathen ( this was their words - and it means by the word
"heathen" - to go unto a people that is "no people", or "Nations" other than
Jewish. The Greek word is "ethnos" - which is also translated "people" in
these two verses - Acts 8:9 and Romans 10:19. In Acts 8:9 it states -
"bewitched the people of Samaria" - which means that they deceived them.
An example of this is in Galatians 3:1 - "O foolish Galatians , who hat
bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth , before whose eyes Jesus
Christ hath been evidently set forth , crucified among you ? " Lets read
verse 3 also, because it shows Paul's reproof about "changing" their walk.
Verse 3 - "Are ye so foolish ? having begun in the Spirit , are ye now made
perfect by the flesh? " Lets look at Romans 10:19 now - "But I say , Did
not Israel know ? First Moses saith , I will provoke you to jealousy by them
that are "no people", and by a foolish nation I will anger you " -- Both
words "people" and "nation" are this Greek word "ethnos" )
These Jews in Galatians were false brethren unaware - hidden
liars. Implants by the deceiver - the adversary - angels unaware. These
false brethren were Jews who "were" provoked to jealousy , to the point that
they sided with angels unaware, and were nothing more than hidden liars
working for the adversary.
Peter fell for their lies, and was asking Gentiles to get
circumcised as the Jews do. That is when Paul , knowing that Peter was to
blame > Galatians 2:11 - "But when Peter was come to Antioch , I withstood
him to the face , because he was to be blamed". Peter was to be blamed for
believing the lies of these false brethren. In fact after this was all
over, as far as this confrontation in Galatians chapter two, even Barnabas
was carried away with their "dissimulation" > Galatians 2:13. The word
"dissimulation" means Hypocrisy. Hypocrisy means - "deceiving lies" . A
"hypocrite" is a profane person, one who "Blasphemeth", and in this case in
Galatians , these false brethren unawares , were hypocrites, who blasphemed
the Holy Spirit, which is an unforgivable sin against God ! Yet , they
deceived Peter and many others including Barnabas by their deceiving lies !
