CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To mix in the coffee maker 1/2 and 1/2 with real coffee for when u want coffee at 11 PM but don't want to stay up all night.

I thought about drinking it so I can still taste yummy coffee (ok, yummy creamer) and not have the caffeine.

I agree with the decaf and non-alcoholic beer. Why ? I drink coffee because I want the rush in the morning. I drink beer for its mind numbing properties. LOL

Try out iced coffee. Preferably "mocha frappe" from McDonald's or Starbucks. And then you can learn to make your own.
A great cup of iced coffee exponentially surpasses the greatest cup of steaming hot.

Oh man, I'm up 3 hours early for work just so I could have a cup of coffee on the coffee maker I bought last night. Finally, the secret to early rising!
What coffee grounds should I buy? (Or should I be a snob and grind my own?) I bought Maxwell House, simply because I had no idea what to get, and that's what I see people buying at work.

I go with Folgers sometimes and other times I get the stuff from the grocery store that you grind yourself if I'm feeling a little foo foo.

Because some people such as me, Jared, have heart problems and can't really drink caffeine. Is there supposed to be a taste difference between caffeinated and de-caffeinated? If so I see no difference because I "water" my coffee down with creamer or milk, and I don't put sugar in mine.
While I've never been addicted to caffeine, some people that have become un-addicted (if such thing is possible
) will still drink coffee, just decaf instead. Caffeine is usually very bad for you anyway so I would say "switch to decaf."

Yes, I see where this is leading- a deeply spiritual question. The theological implications are that decaf coffee is not at all unlike the foreign faith alone doctrine where the main ingredients have been compromised and so rendered incapable of accomplishing their original purposes, the one being physical enlivening and the other spiritual enlivening. Great point-Im glad you brought this up cuz I had never thought of it quite that way. Thank you-Im gonna go have a cup of coffee now-with an extra shot.
