What's the point of a poll about evolution in a forum intended only for those who don't accept evolution?

True, but doesn't answer my question. What is the point of having a poll here?

I'm a creationist and I don't see an option for what I believe about Darwin's theory. As part of it was the 'tree of life', ultimately his theory included universal common descent which is not something I believe. However, I don't reject evolution as a phenomenon or natural selection as an explanation for certain kinds of adaptive evolution. The subject matter is a little bit more complicated then the poll suggests.

What would be the point? Why bother with this deception? You do know there are like maybe 30 politicians in the US federal government that aren’t Christian, right? Why would they be trying to opress themselves? There is no reason to create a deception of this magnitude and to think that a well proven documented scientific theory is so is preposterous.

It's impossible. Common descent doesn't have missing links, it has unbreachable gaps at every key point of development. Now how you like your history served up is certainly your prerogative, but I like something more substantive then cartoons and speculation.
