This is the problem in America in my opinion. We don't teach epistemology and skeptical thinking. I believed many untrue things in my life because I did not understand how to determine what is true and what is false and what we cannot determine either way. Almost all the problems in the US are the result of bad thinking or bad epistemology. If we were taught how to think and how to assess claims we would not have the political candidates we have, we would not have as much debt as we have, we would not have as much bigotry as we have, we would not have as much religious oppression as we have etc.I'd suggest until you have improved your understanding.

Funnily enough I was watching that Behind the Curve documentary recently, it appeared to me that most of the promoters of this nonsense are more interested in their cultivating their "profile" than anything else. Conspiracy - minded people seem to fall for it hook, line and sinker.
