....And this is typical, I make my post and then a minute or two later I am now "an unknown quantity at this time". I don't have to guess who did that, but I do appreciate it because it validates my claim.

A little honesty would go a long way towards improving this forum...

If you have something to say, then say it. Voting someone down solves nothing.

Hey wait up, nyj.

So far it's me, Ref, eldermike, and I've contacted Gabriel and CCWoody. I'm trying to find two more.

Sounds like a studly team there. You might want to contact rnmomof7 too. You guys got any topics you'd like to discuss? I know there is already a predestination challenge in the Formal Debate area.

The driving factor in setting up the Formal Debate Forums, and doing it as soon as we could, was because we felt that your concerns/perceptions were legitimate. We were trying as hard as we could to set up a system that would be fair and even-handed. Only to have it shoved back in our face without so much as even an attempt to try it out first. :(

My comments to blindfaith concerns THIS forum, I wasn't referring to IDD.

I think the new debate forum is a good idea, I never said it wasn't. Someone asked if we had a team together, which caused me to reflect on WHY we don't.

I assume you are talking about your reputation. To see who voted (and how) go into your "User CP", nothing at all dishonest about it. And for the record, I did give you a vote of disapproval of your first post in this thread, and I left a comment for you too, the same thing, albeit more brief, that I said to you here. Don't knock it until you try it.

Well I knew you did it, nyj, but thanks for admitting it.:)

btw, my husband was driving thru OK City this morning; said the traffic was really bad.:) I thought about telling him to  at nyj as he passed thru, but since he doesn't read the forum, I knew he wouldn't have the slightest notion of who I was talking about.:p

I assume he must've been driving on either I-40 or I-35? :)

He told me the Interstate, but now I can't remember which one.:) He stayed at the "Waterford" last night; said it was a fancy place!:) He is on his way to west OK, so he has a long drive ahead.

Oh, the Waterford is very nice. There is an awesome restaurant underneath it, Bellini's, which has a pretty good Italian menu.

I know that I-40 runs due east/west through Oklahoma, whereas I-35 runs north/south. So if I had to venture a guess I'd say he probably had to hop onto I-40. Of course, Oklahoma's roads are a mess (IMO), and I-44 connects both I-40 and I-35 (which has several names... Broadway Extension, I-235, Centennial Highway... all depending on what mile marker you're currently located at) so he could have gotten hit with traffic from all over. Most everyone commutes in Oklahoma, either coming from the suburb of Edmond (north of OKC), or the towns of Norman and Moore (south of OKC), or Yukon and Mustang (west of OKC).

BTW: I'll say a prayer or two for his safe travel. :)

Thanks for the prayer, I know he would appreciate it!:) He's already gotten lost a couple of times. I talked to him a minute ago, and he was trying to figure out where he was.

He had breakfast at the Waterford, so it was probably at Bellini's; he said they have an excellent western omelet.:)

But the reputation thing does not say who voted for you. I received what I think is a negative rating on these two posts, now, c'mon, what makes these two post bad?? My only assumption is that no one thinks we should even be in here and they do not care to treat us hospitable.

http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?p=863856#post863856

This one, I am asking a question to something I was curious about because I did not know until this thread that reformed believers did not necessarily believe that spiritual charismatic gifts had stopped, so I asked a honest question and got a bad rating?!?

The other was the Catholicism thread where I posted that I thought the thread was a train wreck waiting to happen, which it was BTW and someone rated me bad??? What is up with that?

Everybody needs to just chill and get along. I feel like I was made to be the sacrificial lamb (no pun intended) who got the brunt of everybody's frustration.

You should be able to click on "User CP" and it should have a listing of who voted for you and how. Perhaps those people even left some feedback for you.

In the past couple of days I have fallen off of my distinguished road too.

Ok, I was upset at first and disapproved of some of the catholics to get even. Then I decided it was ridiculus and I will not subtract from someone's reputation again--it is very petty and childlike.

I am sorry to everyone that I subtracted from your reputation--it will not happen again--even if you deserve it.

Now I just see it as rather funny that I am an unknow quantity.

Michelle I don't think you realize how much resentment there is that we can't have any discussion among ourselves here without being hit with the catholic viewpoint. In your catholic area you can pretty much discuss whatever you want without the non-catholic point of view being pushed on you.

I'm not saying this to be ugly, just to point our what is felt from our point of view.

Hey at least you are not an unknown quantity--which I am thanks to catholics. :p

Interesting. You disapproved of me 3 days ago. I didn't even know you were back here posting until yesterday. So, exactly what were you getting back at me for? Hmmm?

Typical response--fault finding.

I said I got the catholics back--I didn't say I only got those that got me!! It was just a hit and miss operation.

You sure know how to make a person regret being sorry!! Ok I'm sorry I was sorry about you!!

[Edited to add that nyj statement that he didn't know I was back was not honest. He had lowered my reputation two days before he said he knew I was back. I noticed he deleted his post where he made this untrue statement, but never came clean with me that his statement was not true. He lowered my reputation twice in a week--I see my assumptions about who was lowering my reputation was correct!! ;) ]
