I said I got the catholics back--I didn't say I only got those that got me!!

You just reaffirm my opinion about you, over and over. Someone, you know not who, disapproved of a post of yours. It could have been any of the hundreds of people here at ChristianForums... heck it could've been Erwin himself, but you went after the Catholics to, as you put it... get even... and you went after more than one while you were at it.

:( :sigh: :(

Oh well... I'm done here anyways. Drotar, I'll see you and your team, in the Formal Debate Forum. Bring your 'A' game. :)

Michelle I don't think you realize how much resentment there is that we can't have any discussion among ourselves here without being hit with the catholic viewpoint. In your catholic area you can pretty much discuss whatever you want without the non-catholic point of view being pushed on you.

I'm not saying this to be ugly, just to point our what is felt from our point of view.

Hey at least you are not an unknown quantity--which I am thanks to catholics. :p

In that particular thread, what Catholic view point did I hit you with? I was trying to understand better what the reformed view was.

I realize I did something wrong, say I'm sorry and I get racked over the coals.

Typical--sad to say I am not even surprised.

Well I did the right thing anyway--what God wanted me to do and that is the only thing that matters to me.

Thanks for forgiving as you have been forgiven by God.

My opinions of you are certainly reaffirmed.

[edited to make it clear that I certainly did disapprove of every post that I lowered someone's reputation on making it no different from anyone else's lowering of someone's reputation. However, I did it out of hurt when feeling that I was singled out just for stating my Protestant beliefs which lead to anger, which made it wrong!! So, I have decided not to lower anyone's reputation, even if I disagree with them, because I can't seem to seperate it from anger. I really don't see how anyone can. It seems to just be a way to hurt someone if you don't like their beliefs. What I have learned from this event (not that I think anyone is interested ;) ) is to be very careful with resentment and to nip it in the bud before it leads to anger and then to acting out of anger, which I feel is a sin.]

I didn't say I didn't forgive you, actually I could care less what you did to my reputation (see the quote below). However, like David who still had to pay for his sin of adultery with the life of his son, restitution is sometimes required. :)

Worry more about your character than your reputation. Character is what you are, reputation merely what others think you are. - John Wooden

OK, where is the formal debate form, and how do you give people reputation points.

Drotar, you are a breath of fresh air, a gift from God, and an asset to this forum.:)

Put on your thickest skin and go here for the debate area:
http://www.christianforums.com/f29 You will find links to the various debate forum rooms and how to make an invitation & set up a formal debate.

If you scroll down the main page, you'll find a lot of informal debates. You can read some of those to get a "feel" for how the members usually interact with each other, and get some ideas about debate topics.

God bless and take care!

Auntie.

PS--click on the "talking head" at the bottom of someones post to add/subtract from their reputation.

The links that I posted in my earlier post in this thread are to the two debate invitations that are currently in the debate forum. One is an invitation made by a protestant to discuss the use of images in the Catholic Church and the other is a invitation from a Catholic wanting to discuss Predestination.

To vote and check your reputation just scroll over the green dot by your post number and it will say what your standing is and if it is black, you have to go into your options panel and enable it.

If you click on the little guy icon at the bottom of your post you can see your points and if you go to CP it will give you a list of the threads that you were rated in with links to the specific post.

To vote, just click on someone else’s little guy icon and vote.
