We have a debate: is Evolution science or religion? No interference allowed. Let the debate begin. My position is that it's a religion. My opponent says Evolution is a part of science. We shall see who's right and who's wrong.

Nova, evolution follows and has followed every single principle of science, just like any other theory. It is purely based on scientific understanding. If something is found wrong with it, it will be gone or changed. As we speak, there is no evidence against the current theory.

When debating about evolution, I think it would be in your best interest to gain some knowledge on evolution, instead of posting easily dubunked claims from Creation sites.

Being able to argue in your own words is much better. Plus, with a better understanding of what is being talked about, you'll be able to weed out the obviously false statements you make, from the ones that have merit.

I want to ask you point blank, if I may: if I were to tell you that I believe in evolution and also believe that Jesus is my savior, would you still say that I am not a Christian?

You would probably be a Christian, just not a "true" Christian. And definition of "true"? Them.

The theory of evoloution with regards to biological organisms is a science. It draws its conclusions from the observation of emperical evidence using the scientific method. It also makes predictions that are testable and is therefore falsifiable. The theory of evolution fulfills all the criteria required for it to be a science.

Possibly for the same reason that law enforcement requires large quantities of donuts. I prefer chocolate muffins but blueberry muffins are good with custard.
