I bought a cell phone the other day and decided to check out all its features. It was inexpensive and although I didn't quite like the color {it was a pearly white} and the look of it, I purchased it anyway. THAT was a big mistake!

In addition to having ready made obscene messages such as h_ _ _ yeah ! and h_ _ _ no! it also featured a screen saver and wall paper with roses and skulls! I 've been seeing alot of the skulls and skull and cross bones fashions lately On clothing, jewelry, you name it!

Back in the day the Skull and Cross bones symbol stood for PIRACY or DEATH. It was a warning on bottles that contained toxic substances. Now people are wearing it as a 'cute' fashion statement. FAR from cute I think!

After thinking about it for a while I decided to throw it away. Why! Well, it had a certain 'JUNGLIST' vibration surrounding it. 'Junglist' is a term we Bahamians use to describe people who don't care about or take proper care of themselves or their souls and it shows by the way they speak and dress and the way they conduct themselves makes one truly convinced that they are a member of the wilder beasts of the animal kingdom.

Another reason is this; my mother read somewhere that a young girl accidentally dropped her cell phone and it rolled on a train track. She ran to pick it up although the speeding train was bearing down on her. What was the result? Her DEATH!

What messages are these companies trying to convey to the young people? That death is cute and something to take casually? What kind of mindset is behind an idea like that anyway? It is so very opposite from the message Jesus would protray. Jhn 14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE:

Well, like I said, I cut my loses and threw the 'junglist' phone away. I though about giving it to my 13 year old cousin who was entralled by it but then decided against it. Why pass the Satanic vibrations on to her?

Deleting the language and screensavers wasn't enough for me. It was already contaminated by what I felt was an evil spirit. Too bad I didn't listen to my instincts in the first place when I saw the phone in its package.

Alot of people out there dedicate the their lives and jobs to the occult. The way the Arabs believe everything they own belongs to {or is dedicated to} Allah. It is a far fetched view, but that is how it is; nothing is neutral!

So, to give all of you the best answer I can, why should I put my self through the strain of 'exorcising' the negative vibrations from what would have been a harmless item had it not been for people taking things out of context and dedicating their proceeds to the work of Satan. Allowing that kind of influence in my home when it is not necessary is a complete waste of time. I like neutral territory!

I can't see why I should support this when there are great products out there like the Nokia 2366i and the LG C1500 (you know, the phone with the cute face ;) ) which are great cell phones! NO bad vibrations what so ever! After all, Life should be Good!

Sounds like a phone AD to me!!
(Or at the least an ad for the new Stephen King book, Cell.) LOL!!!
the phone is so cool I just wanted everyone to know about it! LG is so cute! Didn't know Stephen King came out with that! I don't read his books. Stephen Spielburg used to write horror but he quit now. I love Tiny Tune Adventures^_^ .

People still need to be careful about what they buy for their children. Remember when Dungeons and Dragons was out and how much turmoil surrounded that?

From what I understand, religion is often infused by the occult too. For instance, Catholicism is infused with voodoo practices - santeria...?

I can understand your hesitation. If you feel uncomfortable with a certain item, perhaps you should not keep it.

My daughter likes to shop at Hot Topic. They sell the emo/goth type clothing. For the most part, I don't step in the middle of what she wears (though perhaps I should - I'm torn). However, one thing that creeps me out is that the store carries rings with sharp points to bleed oneself.

That doesn't surprise me!

You are very perceptive! No, I don't keep them!

You don't have to spy on her, just be honest and explain that what may seem cool can be very deadly (in the long run) just tell her no one is always aware of everything {including yourslef!} Tell her about French Kitty.com. They have great clothes and so cool! Also, get her interested in developing her own personal style. It will give her something to look forward to! Let her know you want her to be stylish!

Not good! Is it the store brand, or just a brand that the store carries?
