These things you've seen
The works God's done
The power of prayer,
The power of one.
You stand in darkness,
Yet see His light,
Follow your desires...
Into a life more bright.
Your heart wants more,
Than what you feed it
You offer less,
Than what is needed.
Your hope is trapped,
This world is prison.
I pray your faith,
In Him is risen.

It's okay if it's not very good. It's the first poem I have ever really written... especially posted.
This is about a friend who knows God exists, knows God's trying to get his attention, yet is still keeping his hope in the things of the world.
I'm still praying for him.

Very good poem, please keep writing more. Poetry, literature, indeed even our minds contain eternal wisdom, contain reflections of infinity, since we are made in His image, every thought you share with us reaching out some how, is reflection of God, and God has no beginning nor end, so what beauty indeed in so few words, that an infinite realm can be stirred. lol im getting lost now in my thoughts. Please keep writing, very good for a first poem.
