I find that my antidepressants work when things are going fairly well. But when I suffer a setback in life (financial, personal, whatever ... something going wrong) then I seem to get stuck for awhile, just feeling down, overwhelmed, and unable to cope.
Does this mean my antidepressants are not working well enough? Or is this common even for "normal" people? I no longer know what it is to feel normal. Know what I mean? I'm not sure if things like this are normal, side affects of the meds, signs of depression, or what.
Feedback would be very welcome. My doctor is clear across country, and I tend to only see her once a year when I get back to that area. So I'm not sure if I should call her to ask, just keep on keeping on, or find another doctor.
