• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dealing With False Accusations

Recently I was accused of something by my school administrators. This took place over a two day period and just involved a lot of distrust towards me in general. The first day, I helped fix the problem I was accused of, offering possible explanations to clear my name etc. That obviously wasn’t enough because the next day I had a principal and superintendent *talking* to me every couple periods. It was quite nerve racking to say the least. I was eventually cleared of accusation but it still feels like they hold me somewhat accountable.

What hurts even more is the fact that these are Christian administrators at the school. I am a 4.0 student, never once even getting a detention, heck I am even leading the worship team next year at the school. It hurts when you see a Christian individual confront a problem, make accusations towards another individual and NOT EVEN ONCE consider the character of the individual. Its not as if they are just an administrator, they are my brothers in Christ...in the body of Christ...

It is just frustrating I guess....any advice?

Thank goodness Christ didn't have any hassles like that.

Sarcasm, I would assume...

Yes it is tough. My biggest fear, is being accused and jailed for something I did not do. It drives me insane, and I've had nightmares about the very thing happening.

Being accused of something you did not do is very infuriating. Best way to handle it is to assert yourself, and ensure your story is accurate and as truthful as possible. tell the same, detailed explanation each time.

How to handle it emotionally. Take a deep breath. let it work it's path. You are at school, don't stress. Accusation in school have very very little carry over into the real world. Do not fret. I've known people who were suspended dozens of time still make it into any collegiate school they wanted.

In the real world, it's much harder, as now those false accusations have real relation and financial implications with family, friends, and yourself. Sometimes I just have to remind myself that these accusations will come to be false at the day of judgment and I will be cleared.

-forgive

TRUST GOD! :)

Or you could quit your school. Move away where this never happens, get free housing, food stamps healthcare and a phone. Live in seclusion and grow old..... just kidding...

38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
to love even our enemies
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

he he he

It sounds like the Lord is calling you to a very deep, transformational work in your heart.

I have had some experience with this kind of treatment myself, and this is the scripture the Lord led me to:

Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

Even when it's brethren, it's an especially serious honor when this happens to us. Jesus is saying, "Come, partake of my sufferings. I will transform your heart more into the likeness of mine, if you let me."

God will always defend and vindicate you, but it will be in His timing. Trust Him, and forgive and bless those who despitefully use your or wrongfully treat you while you are actually behaving righteously. Truly, they do not know what they're doing.
