Woob is once again up to his old reporting tricks in the D&D forum and no mods in sight to hold him accountable.

No suprise.

I did find it amusing that when I went scouring the forum for a couple of his to report in retaliation, I couldn't find any! They ALL had the little red exclamation point on the bottom!

Hi Crimson. Check you PM's. Woob has made about 8 or 9 reports against me from one thread in the past half hour or so. My inclination is to begin reporting every post he makes, however, I would like to believe that the mods will see the problem that has stirred up an oncoming fire storm. If the mods won't deal with the problem I and others will begin making multiple reports on every post he makes. It's not a threat, it's just the same tactics he's using to try and lash out at those he does not like. I'd rather just continue discussing, but he is making it difficult to do so and is making my time here miserable as well as others.

If the mods of this forum cannot or are unable to deal with the problem, who can we contact that IS able to deal with it? He was almost at a site-wide ban prior, but now he is able to basically say and do whatever he wishes, while I get warned for stating that what is posted on the main forum should confirm Christ.

So, what's it going to be? Are your hands tied somehow? Who do we speak to whose hands are not tied?

Nope, no one's hands are tied, and the mods are working on the situation.

You are kidding there, NE!! There are at least 3 admins and 3 mods involved in the fracas that is going on behind the scenes.

FYI, I'll take a couple of mins out to define

1. report has to be read
2. the post has to be read in the thread of origin and the surrounding posts to see the context
3. the rest of the comments in the report thread have to be read and
4. an opinion posted

Now multiply all that will all the reports generated tonight alone.

It was the culmination of several hours of work and discussion by the staff and the resultant pm took me almost an hour to compile.

These things don't happen quickly but they will happen. You have to give us time to discuss each report and decide what needs to be done about it.

There may not be a conclusion tonight (2345 GMT) as some of us actually have real lives to live!!

We are only too painfully aware of who actually are the problems all over the Congregational site, not just in SDA. Very aware.

Within a few hours I had 10 posts deleted and a two point infraction waiting for me when I logged on after Woob's grand entrance into our subforum. Almost two days later Woob has not been dealt with. What am I supposed to deduce from this?

Anyhow, I highly doubt that he will be banned from our Prog area, which is really the only punishment that would satisfy me.

So, give him his slap on the wrist when you guys happen to get around to it. We in the online trenches are left to deal with his nonsense for the duration I suppose.

Now I'm not saying that the mods never make error's in judgment--I think they do, but maybe you should reconsider how you word your posts.

Since my ban--I have toned my words down quit a bit. Oh yes--at times I say things that at the time I posted them, I didn't think were 'flame' material and would be shocked to see that someone reported it. But I have learned to not say things so harshly. Maybe you should too.

I would say there is a definite return to the bad old days of 'hate and rancor', and until certain people who are causing the majority of the reports cease, we will continue with it......

I probably should have worded that as being since I joined staff. I have only seen a handful of NV's compared to countless RV's in the past couple months.

Then perhaps you have no basis to compare but my point was that unless reporters have gotten vastly more careful in what they report--which in the midst of report wars seems unlikely--there is another issue there.

Not everything should be a violation.

Nobody has to like my 'posting style'. It is what it is and I am what I am. I will not pretend to be otherwise for the sake of making certain ones more comfortable. This is not something that I can put on or take off at whim like a coat. It is not a front. It is who I am, it is my personality. I am not some 'keyboard warrior' as DL and Jon have charged me-I am just as blunt and plain in person.

So no, I do not agree that posting style should be grounds for verifying RV's.

This is just common sense. If I flood report one specific person, there will be RV'S found in the throng.

Like I have said before, throw enough crap at the mods and some of it will stick eventually. And Woob is a master at constantly throwing huge handfuls of crap until something sticks. That is his M.O. He is doing it with Free as we speak.

It is no secret he wants to get rid of myself, Free, Senti and Stormy from this place and has for a long time and that he specifically targets us on a consistent basis. Anyone who cannot see that has been blind for the last few months, doesn't care or has the same agenda he has.

When things slow down--if ever--perhaps a mod could go through the last 30 Adventist reports (like a couple hours worth today probably) and see how many were violations. No names, just stats.


Now that a mod has made the claim I am a bit worried about the system. If people can report as many posts as they like, and most wind up in violations, that seems like a problem.

I realize you are in a bad situation here, through no fault of your own. But is there currently a policy, as there was at one time, that staff are not to disclose actions taken against members? With all the changes I have no clue about the regulations now.

And can you disclose whether a member was banned? Or is that off limits?
