Why are you so against generational curses?

bondages or strongholds that are passed from one generation from the next...mindsets and learned behavior...I see how demons could try to attack in the same way over and over and over again because of what we saw or learned along the way...that I understand...that is what some call generational curses...that is something very easy for me to handle...to crush and ball up and say "no more!" I call it a generational stronghold or bondage...not a curse

But there is another mindset of generational curses where you have to get the sin of an ancestor spot on and ask forgiveness of that sin. and they use the generational curse from the time of Moses....if that curse still applied then no matter what it could not be broken until it ran its course...it would have to go through the generations even if the second generation loved God....that curse is no more. It was a curse that God spoke...but he said no more ...Jesus said "no more" God spoke it into existence and then took it away...at the cross.

The reason i got more angry is that I was also told to gather my family and have them repent of their sins..that would be me forcing them to repent...kinda like when I went into the confession booth for the first time and was told to repent of my sins...I was on my knees going "umm,ummm,umm,yeh,,,did I sin? oh man I better say something quick..a sin a sin what have I done that was a sin? I was so beside myself that I made something up....(so my sin was in the confession booth...it was a lie because I made up a pretend sin that I did not do...go figure)

When you imagine yourself doing something like making your family repent of their sins to keep demons away you have to ask yourself "what kind of leaven is this?" I see two kinds of leaven...one is the pharisees and one is Gods...which way gives you bondage and what one gives you freedom?
My family is more then likely to sin again without me knowing it...so...do I everyday sit in a confession booth and tell my children to confess their sins to me so that they are forgiven? so that demons don't come like a thief?
Who is the head of my home? God is the head and my children are sanctified and set apart for God...he is working on them.
i don't believe God would lift his wings off of us because one of the children sinned...the only reason he would lift his wings is to create a mighty wind
When I see people scrambling and trying to cover all the bases to protect themselves from demonic activity then I feel it is more work based and not trusting that God has you covered...

but like I said I don't understand everything and alot of times when people say I got to do this and that then doubt creeps in... Daddies protect and provide and love...My daddy is God the Father...so I'm going to cuddle next to him and trust him...I'm his little girl. I know what he has given me authority to do...i know I will learn more as I go...but i know what I know

Shouldnt it be a bit easier to dispel them, although my mate Jay takes HOURS.

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule on this. We are NOT Jesus - he had the Spirit without measure.......

Others don't - they still come out

others fail on both counts

20 odd years ago - I prayed in tongues for someone and 5 demons left him and named themselves on the way out - I never asked them either.

So its a mixed bag.

Don't spend too much time looking into a 'seer' anointing . . . there is no such thing. That's just a term some prophetic people use to elevate themselves above other prophetic types as if they have a greater anointing. 'Seer' is just one of the old testament interchangeable terms for 'prophet' used only once or twice in the Bible - actually, it's the older term that later became 'prophet'. In the new testament, there is no 'seer' gift or office. Those who try to promote themselves as a 'seer' are rooted in spiritual pride. It's like anything today, man likes titles and promotion, so they invent new things. I guess it's not really a new thing though, Paul railed against the 'super apostles' in his day too

Basically, the gift of seeing into the spirit realm isn't even the prophetic gift, its the gift of discerning of spirits.

Yes..it is a form of discernment most of us have the gift of discernment but in different ways like Tobias said. But I did not know it was actually a gift of discernment until i looked up Jonathon Welton (? I think that is his name? ) and he calls it a seer annointing that is the gift of discernment...all I know is it is the gift of discernment

Feel free to pray for my family...feel free to cast away evil from us...because your faith does mean alot. The Apostles cast the demonic from others ...they did not say you have to have all understanding and faith before the demons can leave...the apostles had enough faith for those who had little.

So there is no difference between 'seer' and 'prophet', they are terms used interchangeably in the OLD TESTAMENT (not the new). There is no 'seer' anointing. It's a fad made up by people like Jim Goll and Pat King to scintillate the ears and elevate the pride. In the New Covenant, all will see visions and dream dreams, not something special when one is filled with the Holy Spirit.

Every believer has the business to conduct this type of ministry.

I said I personally have no business doing it. I never said that others cannot do it if they so choose. Me not doing it will not change.

I gotcha, I didn't mean every believer has a ministry of deliverance but rather that every believer can while doing ministry bring deliverance. We shouldn't avoid ministering deliverance for others because that is not "our calling..."

Ah, I see them differently. If people in your family line tend to fall into certain error, the enemy knows this and tries the same tricks on you. That is why certain things can run in families. It does not mean everyone will fall into the same trap, just that you may be tempted with the same traps.

Now yes, some sins can pass down and effect your children. Children can have demonic aliments. It isn't from sin in their own life. For example, one of the punishments for a women that falls into the error of Jezebel is the death of her children. It wasn't the children's sin, but a punishment on the parent.

Just declare to the enemy that you are free from the consequences of the sins of all your ancestors. They have no right to try to you for another's sins. You belong to Yeshua.

You don't make others confess for you. You are no longer a child that your parents current sin now would pass onto you.

Would watching action films like gun shooting, fighting and war movies invite demons into the room or house?

I like actions movies like James Bond, Bourne series, Saving Private Ryan, FBI movies, covert operations, war movies, etc.

Fasting doesn't necessarily mean no food. It could be no tv or internet and use the time to peay. It can be a meal a day for a week. It can be a piece of bread instead of a meal. The ancient church's no meat on fridays was a form of fast - a denial of the flesh. Offer God what you can and He'll work with you where you are.

Thank you for this. I guess before the kids, I was able to try a half day fast which was no food nor liquids but I've found since giving birth to MC that I'm not sure I can physically manage those anymore.
