CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lying and jealousy. I can deal with a lot of things, just be honest about what you're doing and saying. And jealousy? In one of the threads around here, women said you wanted to be the best thing that happened to a guy and have him know it. Well, trust that I do know it and that I'm not going to leave you just because I talk to a female co-worker or client.

For me, it would be not being able to hold down a job.I cant stand free loaders. I know sometimes there are reasons, but for the normal people, both people need to help out financially.

Ok, fair enough. I never understood guys who abused women, anymore than I understood women who sat there and allowed it to happen.
What you did say was VERY important --- that you are willing to forgive someone when they mess up. That is an essential quality in any relationship.

Lot of truth in this. I know a lady who was an absolute stunner and even at 60 years of age hints of that beauty (saw the wedding photos.), but married an abusive husband.
She used to play the piano in the hotel lounges, but today is a basket case (b/c of abuse) and can only play about 6/7 pieces from memory (when she doesn't feel threatened and as the clouds lift )
