Let's keep in mind that this is a Christian Forum. The debate here is not whether God exists or not.

You enter into a slopery slope when you change the natural meaning of the bible to force it to conform to a set of beliefs that contradict scripture.

That's an important aspect that all of us need to keep in mind. We should also keep in mind that there are many interpretations of those natural meanings, some of which differ significantly among Christians and non-Christians alike. I think the important thing is to respect one-another's beliefs whether we agree with them or not.

Yup. One thing you need to do is come up with another method for original sin. The fall in the Garden. How it wasn't caused by one man.

Genesis opening chapter isn't written in the language style you suggest. If a day was a long period of time then there would be no need to bracket days with evening and morning. Evening and morning are terms used to express a normal day.
Secondly the 10 commandments also establishes a creation day as one of our days.
