No. (However, my parents are not orthodox!)

The late Prof. Nehama Leibovitz's books (Studies in Bereshit/Genesis, Studies in Shemot/Exodus, etc. are excellent.

4.Who is Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) to you?

He is pain, blood and suffering, i.e. the pain, blood & suffering that his followers and those purporting to be his followers have inflicted on my people ever since he died. I think of Jesus and I wince/weep as I think of blood libels, the Crusades, the abducting and forcible baptism of Jewish children, massacres, pogroms, anti-Semitic laws that made apartheid seem positively humane, expulsions, seeing our holy books burned, being accused of poisoning wells so as to start plagues, lynchings, the Chimelnicki massacres, etc. etc. I agree with our very great medieval Sage, Maimonedes (http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/biography/Maimonides.html), who says:

"Jesus the Nazarene, who purported that he would be the Messiah and was killed by the court...All the prophets said that the Messiah would redeem Israel and save them, gather their exiles and strengthen their commandments, but this one caused Israel to perish by the sword, be dispersed and humiliated, replaced the Torah and misled many in the world."

No, but they did not impress any religion on them at all. I didn't even find out what they were until I was already atheist.

A visionary and moral man who believed he was speciall and started a cult like so many others have. His cult was lucky enough to take off unlike so many others. He died for his beliefs, which I find noble and brave, but tragic.

Christmas. Lots of presents and good food, and a wonderful community spirit.

As my beliefs are centered around the persuit of truth, 'Hey that's cool!', a 'science' book for children is the winner. Appears to have been written by a lobotomised monkey with a degenerative brain disorder, its so stupid and inaccurate. It contains the line:

'Positive and negative electrons repel each other'

There is no excuse for that level of ignorance in a book that is advertised as science.
