And if i were to be with sum1 i would look for that person to possibly be my wife in the future. So id look for those qualities since i believe dating is a form of union. similar to marriage and therefore God hates it when we break up as he does divorce. i mean 100 years ago dating didnt even exist, its a cultural thing- not a Christian thing, so i guess we all need to take care with it and the issues it presents.

I don't understand how people can date someone they barely know. I am all for spending enjoyable time with a person and getting to know them better but I believe that can be done within the framework (sorry, been writing a business letter, can't get my mind into normal mode) of a friendship.
First of all, let me state that I, personally, date in order to find the person I will marry. Therefore, my significant other is first and foremost my close friend. Of course you won't wait till you know the person inside out before dating them (that's what you do in your lifetime together if that's what's meant to happen). But I believe that you can get to know a person enough to figure out whether you are willing to enter a serious relationship with them through simply being their friend. By practising that I believe I've saved myself a lot of heartbreak![]()
Then, as a Christian I will choose to date a Christian. Not because I am afraid of other religions or people who practise them: I have many friends who are Muslim, Buddhist, etc. But I have come to realise through personal experience that I cannot share my life and be so close who doesn't understand this aspect of my life that is so important to me.
I am very picky. She must:
1. Love God lots.
2. Enjoy the cool refreshing taste of Dr. Pepper.
3. Put up with my goofy date ideas.
4. Like to hold hands while skipping.
5. Be nerdy.
