WE all know that homosexuality is a big issue.... How do you feel about homosexuals dating? In your opinion is it right or is it an abomination in the eyes of god>?

I keep wondering to myself whether my opinion about other peoples behaviour has any relevance. Some threads on abortion had me wondering about my stance on the issue. The only honest answer I could come up with was that I wouldn't have an abortion if I was a woman. With regards to homosexuality, I wouldn't live in that manner by choice. I think its a simpler to determine for oneself what is right for you, in terms of their relationship with God.. The homosexual needs to work out themselves whether they think it is right or an abomination in the eyes of God. In a sense, I am pro-choice in all things. We each make our own decisions and we each live with the consequences of our decision. How do I feel about homosexuals dating? I think its between them and God. Is it right or is it an abomination in the eyes of God? Since I'm not practicing homosexuality, I don't feel any need to answer that question for myself. Maybe someone could tell me why I feel this way? Or what they see is wrong with it?

I believe that all dating is wrong.. Why can't we just have arranged marriages? Or why can't we do underage marriage (an adult marrying a 12 or 13-year-old)?

I don't mean to sound like an arrogant a**hole, but I definetley do not want to marry a girl that is "used". I have a hard time meeting girls. By the time I'm an adult and have my job as a doctor making a good 90,000 or more a year, I'll want a wife. Well, they've all dated and been intament with the oppiste sex.. It's like they're used... I don't want a used girl.. Let me give ya'll an analogy.. Would ya'll rather drive a new car, or a used car? Or would you take what you could get? I'd go with the new car for sure!

To solve this problem.. we need to make dating illeagle and allow arranged marriages.. or we should lower the leagle marriage age to 12 for a girl and 18 and a man so that way they won't be used by the time I can get to a girl.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it, as you're recognizing that
you are not someone else, and have little control over someone else, and
they you, and you're working from a standpoint of everyone's got to be
personally responsible. You don't see yourself as able to judge others, because
you aren't truly authorized to judge others, by any sort of social contract.

Why do you feel this way? Personal revelation, convincing arguments from
a voice you respect, or maybe you just DO.

To answer the OP, I don't see a problem with homosexuals dating, since
to me people dating is people dating. No matter the gender, there's still
the desire to make a good impression, there's a desire to interact with other
people, and there's inherent anxeity you'll screw up. The question reminded
me of a time when a friend informed me of his homosexuality. He asked if
the lack of dating oe hanging out with girls was a clue. I responded that I
figured he was a geeky loser like the rest of us.

I will assume your response is a sick joke, because if it isn't - you need to understand 2 things.
1. Women are not objects and we don't get "used" like cars.
2. If you really think grown men should marry 12 yr old girls so that they can be sure to get a "fresh" one - you need therapy or you will be in prison at some point in your life.

The only thing I ever have to say when it comes to discussions like this... whatever makes the person happy whether it be a heterosexual or homosexual relationship. I have a few friends that are involved in homosexual relationships, even have an uncle. And even though I may be against, I give as much support I can give. At times I feel bad for the gays, loving somoene and only wanting to be with that person and yet at the same time being constantly tortued about it and hearing non-stop how wrong and un-Godly it is. I don't mind hearing about a homosexual relationship but when it comes to marriage between the two, that does get to me, probably sounds weird- being alright with dating but not marriage, I just don't see the point.

Dating is not wrong as long as the couple stays pure and sanctified.

As for your comment about dating a girl that "has been used." I found that disgusting and very unchristian like.

As far as sin goes, we all have been used and God STILL loved us. I know many awesome women (and men, including me) who come from a sexual history who in which have changed their lives for the better, and have found significant others who have the compassion and love to forgive them of their past.
I can never thank my girl friend enough for forgiving me of my years of fornication, but she knows I have changed and that I love her, and only her. We only kiss, and, of course, are saving sex for marriage.

Completly bad idea. There will be many unhappy marriages, not to mention the process that a couple has to go through to build up the relationship.
Also: How would you like it if you were forced to marry a non christian? Or a spiritually immature christian.
There is ONE rule about marriage(aside from the sinful aspects): To be evenly yoked. Your idea for arranged marrages will not work according to Gods will.

Spectacularly false.

I can't even determine how you might reach such a conclusion. The number of homosexuals who would check that box on a survey certainly approaches zero. And the ministries and whatnot that claim to have "cured" gays have such abysmal "success" rates as to virtually preclude mention.

So can you explain how you know why gay people are gay better than they know themselves?

Dating, if it is done with the intention of one day, in the future, getting married, and if the limits of proper behaviour are not crossed, is not wrong at all.

As for "used women", that is a completely false notion. Surely, no-one would like to marry a woman who lives a life of sexual immorality, but if she has repented of such a life, ammended her ways, and has not any disease as a result of her previous ways, then there is absolutely nothing that should worry the man who might have a relationship with her.
In fact, the subject of the woman's (or the man's) past sinful experiences shouldn't even be brought up in normal circumstances, and it is completely up to her to reveal it or not.

Homosexual dating is, of course, immoral on all cases.
