CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am SOO glad all that wedding stuff is behind me - I knew it was so trivial back then, but now, with it behind me, it just makes me laugh how much effort got put into one day. Don't get your head in the clouds over it - seriously. Honestly, the next day I woke up and was in hysterics about how much importance gets put on such a silly, silly day. And it's not the important things that get the importance on them (like the vows for instance), but STUPID things like cakes, and flowers!!!
I much prefer being on this side of things...

This has changed. When I originally voted I was in a different relationship. I have just started a new relationship, and we have been going out about 3 months.

I vote "newly married", but it's kind of complicated. We had a private ceremony, said our vows before God, etc, but it won't be legalized and finalized and all that good stuff until July. We do consider ourselves married though. The only reason we didn't do the paperwork yet is because my mother would throw a fit -- she wants us to get married here in my hometown in July. And she's, uh, psycho enough to check marriage license records to make sure I didn't do anything she wouldn't approve of. But we really wanted to elope, so...we eloped. Eh, I told you it was complicated.
