hey gang still enjoying my singleness and should i write a letter to the girl in biology class i like or just tell her to her face.
Face to face is better.

IMO, food chain for communication is:

1. e-mail is for wimps
2. Hand-written letter is better than e-mail
3. Phone call is better than letter
4. Face to face conversation is better than phone call.

Takes more guts and confidence, but that's what makes life more exciting.

I thought it was pretty straight forward, but evidently, I was mistaken. So here goes nothing-

Partying (par-tee-ing)

n.- To congregate in a place with many people and enjoy the pleasure of each others company through such activities as dancing, talking, joking, games, and drinking (if you so choose).

Evidently you were mistaken as your post did not define what you thought partying was. You indicated that you thought partying was okay.

Various people have various definitions.

LB,
I think you should just talk to her too. If you already have a class with her, ask if she wants to study with you or something. That way you can get to know eachother without having all the pressure of "going out". Start out growing a friendship and go from there.

So it would appear. I find that people will define whatever they wish, however they wish, particularly if it can be tailored to fit their argument. My apologies for the misunderstanding. That's the last time I'll give undue credit for common sense.

So you're stating I do not have common sense? I'm not sure where you come off with the attitude. I do not appreciate your snide remarks or the high and mighty attitude. If you can't have a decent conversation with anyone here and answer questions in a decent manner then perhaps it's time to take a time-out from the message boards.

Ladies....let's all play nice. I would really hate to see this thread get locked.

I'm not "playing." That patronizing attitude gets old. I don't like it nor do I appreciate the attitude or tone she took.

Yeah, I wish I could still do that... The few friends I have who would be interested either have very difficult schedules or are terribly unreliable. :sigh: One of these days, I keep telling myself, it'll happen. I'm about to start running a solo Star Wars game for a friend of mine, and hopefully we can add more players soon.

That wasn't meant in regards to you, sweetie. You seem to be a level-headed one for the most part. I meant it in regards to people I've conversed with lately who want every little thing defined for them so they can then twist the explanation to suit their viewpoint. I've seen a lot of it lately and it gets a little tiresome is all.

Please accept my apologies for any confusion and let's avoid any angry, exploding heads- I haven't done laundry in a while and I'm running out of clean clothes. I'd like to keep my remaining clean clothes goo-free. ;)

Well, time to join the "dateless waif club". It's strange really, if I weren't so daft, I wouldn't be in this club. From time to time, I've realized that I've had at least 4 girls who were on the edge of asking me out, and I liked a couple of them as well.

But, I'm fairly daft, and am quick to miss stuff, and although I generally read people well, I can really miss some stuff.

Let's see the list.

I had a girl who had a couple of her friends just about ask me to go out with her at one point. Nice girl, but I thought her friends were just making fun of me, as well as having some serious depression issues at the time, so I made a rather crude joke, and somehow she heard it, and has hated me ever since. I also think I helped worsen some of her own self-confidence issues. She was always slightly emotionally unstable, but with how upset she was in hearing that joke, I realized that I'd really screwed up. If she didn't care about me, she wouldn't have sat there at school, crying off and on over the next couple weeks. This is probably the worst thing I've ever done to a person.

A year later, I had another girl who I realize at this point clearly liked me. Dunce, dunce, dunce, dunce, dunce. I don't think anybody would understand how badly I screwed that relationship up before it happened. I'd known her since I was very young, and the problem was that I hated my past. I'd done everything possible to lose my past, and I still do, and she was associated to that past. Foolish of me, but I still really hate my past.

Third person was another girl at school, but I never liked her, so it doesn't bother me.

And, the fourth person, I liked her, she liked me, we sorta had a date. And then the dang military relocated them to Colorado, or somewhere around there. My luck.

But! Don't you all worry. I just ate a fortune cookie, and it reads "HAVE FAITH, HAPPINESS WILL BE YOURS."
