Actually, I agree with Goat on this one. You don't have to be dating anyone to enjoy your singleness. There's NOTHING wrong with partying with members of the opposite sex. There's nothing wrong with partying, period. It's one way of building fellowship, for one, and if he's up front about not wanting a girlfriend, it's not leading them on.

When someone expresses their joy at being single and unattached while having encounters with the opposite sex we need to work a little harder at sharing in their joy and not jumping to unfounded conclusions. Bitterness is not a good color on people.

Partying is exactly what Flames described... except my definition tends to go a bit further as well... I just didn't want to be too explicit. So I figured 'party' would be a good way to put it

Is it wrong? People will probably say yes... but hey, I've been married and divorced, so waiting til marriage isn't exactly an option anymore.

I don't think there's anything wrong with partying (as defined above). All too often though the word "partying" is associated with getting really drunk or high or whatever and doing stupid things...
When I was a kid my idea of a party was getting together with a few friends, pizza and sodas, and playing D&D for 8 hours.
When I was in college my idea of a party was getting together with a few friends and a bunch of random people, drinking a lot, smoking a ton of pot, then going home to pass out.
Now my idea of a party is getting together with a few friends, pizza and beer (or maybe a bottle of wine), and loafing around talking. If I could get them to play D&D for 8 hours, it would really be a party!
(The more things change, the more they stay the same?)

Well.. the partying I do with a few of these girls generally involves quite the large amount of alcohol... after all, 2 of them are bartenders at this Coyote Ugly style bar... and the first one of them that I met, we got acquainted by her pouring tequila on me and then licking it off....

That's an excuse, so many people say "it's just too late now, because I've been there and done that"...is that really the perspective we should have as Christians? I'm not preaching and I'm definitely not holier than thou, but I'm not going to stand idly by and let someone self destruct.
