  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

About two minutes into the video "Genesis of Dispensationalism" its narrator makes it clear he believes Lacunza was up to some sort of a deception in that he [Lacunza] hid his real name for the sake of hiding some Jesuit plot.

This reading of his into another's intent is a consistent pattern of the conspiracist throughout.

In the above, he fails to consider the dangerous times these men were writing in.

It is well known, for example, that the highly venerated, John Calvin, had plotted unto their death against those who's views he strongly disagreed with.

To read into the fact of Lacunza's having been a Jesuit what some continually have on that fact alone can only result in the character assassination they and theirs have practiced against a man little is known about.

It is about as sound as ignoring Hitler's defecting Generals simply because they had been loyal to him at an earlier point. Men who later greatly helped turn the tide of the war against Hitler at great risk to their lives, thus, their need for their secrecy.

The great painter of the Renaissance, Michelangelo, hid his work against the Pope of his day in the very work commissioned by that Pope. Work that stands to this day only because it escaped the hands of the religious conspiracist.

Set out in search of a conspiracy intent on finding one in the belief that a conspiracy is the reality and one is sure to find it in any word or action the conspiracist automatically perceives through his one size fits all indicator that a conspiracy is afoot.

I'm reminded of a photocopy of an original New Testament smuggled in and then back out of Medieval Spain by a Spanish Reformer under a name different from his actual name; a practice by many during those very dangerous times.

In his case, he had been a devout Roman Catholic just a few years earlier.

A full-fledged "Luthern" by the time of his publishing of said New Testament, the last pages of that important document laid out a long list of what were then practices within the Luthern Church.

Many of which were the residue of that movement's origin - the Roman Catholic Church its founder had not only loudly condemned but had so forcefully broken away from.

A conspiracist would right off see conspiracy in those last pages of that Protestant New Testament; condeming the balance of that important document that his severely distorted sense of "objectivity" have its say.

The "findings" of such an individual should be questioned. Objectively, and fairly, but nevertheless, questioned.

Knowing full well objective findings is likely to meet with the accusation of "conspiracy" from such an individual.

Whether intentionally dishonest or not, the result of such an indivual, married as he is to his conspiracy theories cannot but result in deception nonetheless, including his own continuing self-deception.

Such an individual's sense of self-worth is so tied to their belief that a conspiracy is afoot, and that they must prove that such is the case, that any attempt at objective reason with such an individual is more often than not likely to end up perceived by such an indivual as "in on it!"

And the harm such individuals have caused and continue to cause others throughout history is an account of great travesties at all levels of society.

At least provide a link to what you are arguing against, to give others a chance to see it for themselves.

This thread has undergone a big thread cleanup. If your post is gone that is the reason. I will remind everyone not to flame/goad each other. Address the post not the poster. Thank you.
