Where the book of Daniel was for the Old Testament era, the Revelation of John is for the New Covenant era. The two should not be mixed up as the identifier, who are the Saints of the Most high God always addresses the Old Testament Saints.

The little horn with the many eyes always represented an apostate religious authority and the many eyes are its followers, that was said to kill the servants and the prophets of God throughout the Old Covenant era.

So the 11th horn that came after the previous ten horns are all in fact pharisaical religious institutions that encompassed the Old Covenant era of time, time and a half a time. If you recall that on a Jewish altar it was called the horn of the altar and so this pretty much symbolised the religious authority as the horns that were joined with the earthly beastly kingdoms. They were horns but had no crown because they were subservient to the earthly beastly kingdom.

The 11th horn becomes the last pharisaical based religious institution before it was destroyed in that time in 70 AD.

Exodus 27:2
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof, his horns shall be of the same, and thou shalt overlay it with brass.

Ezekiel 43:15
So the altar shall be four cubits, and from the altar and upward shall be four horns.

1 Kings 1:50
And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

So a horn especially a little horn is a religious institution that has a patriarch as it's kingly high priest. This is where we get the name Melchizedek from, as the head of a religious body is identified as the king or head of the institution.

In the verse below we establish that the Old Covenant Saints being the first fruits to be redeemed when the great harvest began after Christ's resurrection and then ascension, we see they had not defiled themselves with the religious institution of their days, that were the 11 horns, because these Saints are faithful and pure before God.

Revelation 14:4
These are they which were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Saint Stephan puts the little horn under the spot light when he exposes the history of all the horns before it as persecuting and murdering of the prophets of God and he also charged them of finally killed the Just One, who is Jesus.

Acts 7:51-52
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost, as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

Daniel 7:17
These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

The above verse is talking about the four beasts that encompassed the entire Old Covenant history of the Old Covenant Saints of the Most High, leading up to when the Ancient of Days who is the risen Christ sits enthroned in majesty in the heavenly sanctuary.

The first three beasts are Old Testament era beasts who are Babylon, meta-Persia and Grecian.

The fourth is the Roman Empire that reflects the beast at the cusp of the Old and New Testament eras, intersecting at the timeline zero at Jesus of Nazareth birth and ending at the resurrection and ascension of Jesus into heaven and climaxing with the destruction of the 11th little horn (pharisaical religious institution) in 70AD.

Daniel 7:26
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

They being the Romans who came and destroyed earthly Jerusalem and ransacked the temple and dissolved the pharisaical religious authority, who played the 11th horn with its high priest representing the religious head or king of the religious institution.

Daniel 7:18
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

These saints are Old Covenant Saints that lived during the time up until the last who was crucified with Christ and was told that he would be in paradise with him.

Daniel 7:19
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass, which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

The word told to Daniel that it would be after the chronological sequence of the Old Testament Saints of the Most High possessing the Kingdom, that by then the fourth beast is known, therefore confirming that the fourth beast is pre and post resurrection up until the climax to the end of the 11th horn in 70 AD.

The question is what did God who is declared as the Ancient of Days the Alpha and Omega promise the Old Testament Saints as far as possessing the Kingdom? What Kingdom is what begs the question?

We now read Ezekiel to reveal the hidden mystery of the Ancient of Days:

Ezekiel 37:12-14
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land:then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

This is ratified in Romans 8:11:

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

The Kingdom spoken of here is the Heavenly Kingdom New Jerusalem mentioned in Revelation of John, Zechariah 14 and this is the everlasting Kingdom mentioned in Daniel 2:44 that was said to have been established during the times of these earthly Kingdoms, that is the three Old Testament beasts, leading up to the fourth who fell at the time of Christ's advent, this fourth Kingdom is the Roman Empire.

The Kingdom that the Old Covenant Saints were promised is Christ's heavenly kingdom that invited first the first fruits, the symbolic 144,000 of the children of Israel from all 12 tribes throughout the Old Testament era as mentioned by the opening of the fifth seal in Revelation 6:9, before the everlasting gospel went out to the Gentile world at large by the declaration of the three angel messages in Revelation 14:6. It was these Old Covenant Saints, who were waiting for the messiah to open their graves and to bring them into their heavenly kingdom (country Israel) as Daniel 2:44 states that this Kingdom shall never be destroyed, so it must not be an earthly kingdom, but that which is a heavenly Kingdom. So Ezekiel is describing the bringing into their own land or country that Abraham was sojourning in his earthly life to find the dwelling place of God and this event happened after the tombs of the Old Testament Saints were opened as declared in Matthew 27:52-53, in fulfilment of Ezekiel 37:12-14.

This initiated the long awaited resurrection of the dead where the Old Testament Saints were ushered into their promised heavenly land/kingdom that shall never be destroyed. This happened after Christ's resurrection as mentioned in Matthew 27:52-53.

Matthew 27:52-53
And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

These Old Testament Saints were ushered into the Heavenly Holy City New Jerusalem at the point of the opening of the fifth seal mentioned in:

Revelation 6:9
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

The souls that were crying under the altar (Revelation 6:10), were the Old Covenant Saints of the Most High that Daniel 7:18 is alluding to. These became the first fruits of the great harvest, through the resurrection of the dead after the forerunner to the resurrection Christ Jesus opened their tombs and commenced the long awaited reaping of the great harvest mentioned by the third angel message in line after the gospel went out to the Gentile world at large as declared in:

Revelation 14:15-16
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap, for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

So the beginning of harvesting by God started at the point of the sealing of the Old Covenant Saints of the Most High after Christ opened the fifth seal, opening their graves and ushering them into their heavenly Kingdom New Jerusalem.

It is after this point that the three angel messages went out to declare the preaching of the everlasting gospel to the gentile nations at large and the commencing of the reaping of the great harvest of God by the outcry of urgency by the angel message to begin harvesting immediately without delay and in this regard the resurrection of the dead commenced with the Old Covenant Saint of the Most high as the first fruits of the great harvest as salvation went first to the Jews then to the gentile nations at large by the preaching of the everlasting gospel.

The commencement of the resurrection of the dead is confirmed by the statement that declares that death is abolished from now and onwards, as the reaping of the harvest has commenced by declaring to all New Covenant Saints that if you die from now on, your eternal inheritance is awaiting you and you will immediately receive the reward of the works done in the body. This following verse falls within the same chronological and sequential context as the three angel messages.

Revelation 14:13
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth,Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them.

Jesus indicated the following to those standing with him before he would be crucified and raised:

Luke 9:27
But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

This is the heavenly Kingdom that the Ancient of Days, who is the Almighty God promised to the Old Testament Saints of the Most high, in which the Revelation of John identifies them as:

1) The servants of our God
2) The servants who died for the word of God
3) The servants who sing the song of Moses

In contrast to the New Covenant saints who are said be:

1) The witnesses of the lamb of God
2) The witnesses which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
3) The witnesses who sing the song of the Lamb

Notice the contrast that the Old Testament Saints are identified as servants and the New Testament Saints are identified as witnesses. Jesus said to the New Covenant believers, I no longer call you servants but friends and a friend is a witness for his friend as kindred spirits, "you in me and I in you".

Th verse below is a preview to the beginning of the Great harvest and the establishment of the Heavenly Kingdom with the Old Covenant Saints of the Most High God. So Daniel was given a preview of Christ's advent, glorification and ascension and concludes with the Alpha and the Omega who is the Ancient of Days siting on the white Kingly throne of righteousness and justice. This is the risen Lord when he ascended up on high, as was depicted on the mount of transfiguration. Daniel is depicting Christ's glorification and ascension as the Ancient of Days and that is why in Revelation 1:8, the risen Christ is declared as the Alpha and Omega, because the event has already happened.

Daniel 7:9
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool, his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Then the invitation to the wedding supper of the lamb of God has commenced, signalling the start of the reaping of the great harvest as all guests that are written in the book of life are migrating and being raptured (taken) from death, onto judgement and through resurrection to stand as the ten thousand times ten thousand shouting for jubilation, because they are reunited with their Heavenly Father.

Daniel 7:10
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him, thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him, the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

The opening of the books signals the commencement of the Heavenly Kingdom and the beginning of the resurrection of the dead,

Daniel 7:11
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake, I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

Then the 11th pharisaical religious horn becomes silenced along with the earthly Herodean Dynasty beast that the horn rode upon as it perpetrated the persecutions and murders as the depicted flood that the Red Dragon spewed out in Revelation 12:3.

Daniel 7:12
As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

The remaining New Covenant beasts were allowed to continue until the end of the Great harvest of God.

Daniel 7:13
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Daniel further elaborates on when the Ancient of Days sits enthroned in heaven, when he is depicting him coming as the Son of Man with his angelic cloud that is the ten thousands times ten thousand that are before him as mentioned previously in Daniel 7:10. The Ancient of days becomes the new covenant declaration mentioned in:

Mark 16:19
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

God is the Ancient of Day whom Daniel is alluding to. Yet they are one in the same as previously stated:

Daniel 7:9
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit.

The differentiating between the Son of Man and the Ancient of Days is a different play role perspective from that of the Son and that of the Father who are ONE In essence and in nature.

Daniel 7:14
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him, his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

The kingdom that Daniel is speaking of is the kingdom that Christ established with the Saints of the Most high at his resurrection and ascension into heavenly New Jerusalem.

The Ancient of Days is the risen Lord who when ascending up sat on the white throne of justice with his inner measured heavenly court mentioned in Revelation chapter 14.

Daniel 7:22
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Christ's Old Covenant bride are all those Old Covenant first fruits that he took with him into the Heavenly Kingdom that Jesus repeatedly declared as the Son of Man going into his Kingdom in:

Matthew 16:27-28
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

His angels are the resurrected Old Covenant first fruits that were chosen from every tribe of the children of Israel.

The above statement has already happened and is confirmed by an Old Covenant Saint of the Most high Daniel. To deny Christ has already established his Heavenly Kingdom is to deny that Christ ever was glorified and ascended up into heaven.

To say Christ ascended up into heaven without establishing his Heavenly Kingdom has absolutely no merit as far as the first century apostolic church is concerned.

John 14:1-4
Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Jesus is saying since the Father's house who is declared as the Ancient of Days by Daniel has already prepared the Kingdom house consisting of the many mansions, therefore when I go up there into my Kingdom to receive what the Father has already prepared for me, I will also prepare a place for you, so that you will also be where I am in Heavenly New Jerusalem.

So to deny that Christ's Heavenly Kingdom already exists and was established by the Ancient of Days for the Old Covenant bride the first fruits (144,000), is to deny the Christian faith in totality.

Are you following the little horn of the New Covenant era or will you listen to the servants of God who are instructing you in truth.

This is the Heavenly Kingdom that Abraham was sojourning to find, the dwelling place of God, where he can be reunited with his Heavenly Father the Ancient of Days Christ Jesus, who declares himself to be the I AM.

THE RISEN LORD IS THE I AM AND THEREFORE CHRIST IS THE ANCIENT OF DAYS WHO SITS ENTHRONED IN MAJESTY.

Daniel 7:27
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

The fundamental tenants to the first Century Christian faith is:

1) Christ has risen
2) Christ initiated the long awaited resurrection of the dead
3) Christ started the reaping from the great harvest of God by first reaping the Old Covenant Saints, who were the first fruits of the Great harvest of God
4) Christ has ascended up taking with him his Old Covenant Saints of the Most High as his bride, who are the actual angelic host/cloud of heaven into his already established Heavenly Kingdom and gave them gifts as declared in:

Ephesians 4:8
This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people."

His people as far as Daniel was concerned are the Old Testament Saints of the Most High God, who were the first fruits of the Great harvest of God.

5) Christ is judging all peoples of all nations when they die to be brought into his presence for judgement.
6) Christ has been separating the wheat from the TARES from when he took the first fruits with him as he started storing the wheat into his barn, meaning in his possession through the resurrection of the dead, where the believer in Christ is raptured from the earthly life to the eternal life with the risen lord.
7) Christ ends the great harvest by blowing the seventh trumpet and declaring time no longer.
8) Those not found in the book of life are forever erased in the lake of fire as life continues, whereby death and hell are both destroyed in the lake of fire, for scripture states the last enemy death will be destroyed at the end of the world when all those written in the book of life have entered into the wedding super of the lamb of God through the resurrection of the dead.

No religious horn today will ever agree with these basic tenants of Christianity, because today's religious system has become a rebadging or rehashing of the old pharisaical based institution, the little horn, that was destroyed by God in 70 AD.

If you preach to a Jew tell them that the Kingdom of their Fathers is not earthly and their Old Covenant brothers await them in Heavenly New Jerusalem, as the angelic host of heaven (white cloud).

The devil has placed an earthly gospel in place of the heavenly gospel and since everyone is focused on earthly matters, the clock is ticking and the shock will come upon death when they realise that the religious institution of the New Covenant era has failed them and has sent them through the broad path towards destruction through the many denominations out there.

I must sincerely warn all that unless you be restored to the original first century faith you will all give an answer to why you didn't listen to Christ speaking through his servants the prophets. Scriptures are the testament of the servants the prophets.

Friends there really is no answer you can give if you have denied Christ by not believing the list mentioned above, as this is considered a flagrant denial of Christ and condemnation is inescapable.

Listen and be restored and understand that all knowledge and wisdom is from God and your earthly ambitions will end, when you breathe your last breath. Do not compete with the Lord's servants but listen and test what they say.

As the prophets of old used to repeatedly say, give ear and listen to the word of The Lord.

The 4 empire sequence in Dan 2 and in Dan 7 is well recognized by all Bible scholars as starting with "Babylon" and then "Medo Persia" and then "Greece" (these are actually named in Dan 2 and 8) and then Pagan Rome.

Pagan Rome fractures in the 4th and 5th centuries AD and in both Dan 2 and Dan 7 this is shown as a division of TEN entities. (Ten toes in Dan 2, and Ten horns in Dan 7).

And there are no "many eyes" statements in Dan 7 that I can find.

in Christ,

Bob

With that as a start then the 1260 years (the time times and 1/2 time == 42 Months = 1260 apocalyptic days in day-for-year terms so 1260 years) are for the dark ages that follow the division of pagan Rome at some point.

===================

Notice that in Daniel 7 beginning with vs 9 and through the end of the chapter the thing that brings on the 2nd coming of Christ is the completion of that judgment seat of Christ when at last "Judgment is passed in favor of the saints" according to the chapter.

It represents the final stage of Christ's High Priestly Ministry that began according to Heb 8 at His ascension

.. 26 But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.’

Daniel was a prophet who was preparing for the proohecy of the Old Testament era and Revelation of John summarises the Old Testament prophecy of Daniel and applies Prophecy for the new testament era where the Old testament left of from.

It is a unique systematic prophecy that God uses and the numbers you presented are more symbolic as far as time and events are concerned and numbers have biblical meanings.

When God tells John in Revelation to measure the inner court you dont think he was actually measuring the heavenly tabernacle with our measurement system do you?

You see the courtroom consisting of the 24 judges who are 12 Old covenant elders and 12 new covenant disciples have already seated way back in the first century when they passed away to collect their eternal inheritence and to sit as kingly judges who judge angels in the already established courtroom of Christ.

Thank you for both of your responses and they seem applicable to the theological mind but let me just for one moment steer you in one particular direction that will unlock the mystery for you.

The title Saints of the Most High God are Old Testament Saints and I went at great length to show you scriptures that prove that these were the first fruits of the harvest and the symbolic 144,000.

If you read the end of Daniel in:

Daniel 12:13
But go thou thy way till the end be, for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

What you will discover if you understand what God is telling Daniel here then you can tie it with:

Daniel 12:6
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

What wonders?

Read:

Daniel 12:1-2
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time, and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

As you can trace back the context of one verse is the previous and then the previous until you can fully understand what the complete context of Daniel 12 is that basically summarises all of his prophecy.

Let us concentrate on what God told Daniel:

But go thou thy way till the end be, for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

Daniel is instructed that he shall die and wait in his place in Abraham's Bosom as one of the Old Covenant Saints of the Most High crying under the altar as mentioned in Revelation 6:9-10.

So what was Daniel to wait for?

The first and only advent of the messiah to come and raise them from their tombs and to bring the former rain peoples into their heavenly country New Jerusalem, as mentioned in Matthew 27:52-53 and in fulfilment of Ezekiel 37:12-14.

The wonder that Daniel was told would happen that encompasses these beasts is for a time, time and half a time which denotes a figure of speech meaning an undisclosed period. The wonder is mentioned in the beginning of the chapter where:

Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people

Here the Christ is the head of the angels who is said to be Michael (who is like Yahweh) will stand up for your Old Covenant people, the Jews. This wonder is the incarnated of the Father as declared in Isaiah 9:6, where Jesus of Nazareth, becomes the son to the world and the Emanuel (God is with us).

and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life

The time for the old covenant former rain people to be raised from their graves heralds the beginning of the reaping of the Great Harvest of God starting with the first fruits. Daniel would wait in his place in paradise (Abraham's Bosom) until Christ came as the Jesus of Nazareth, was crucified and raised and thereby initiating the long awaited resurrection of the dead.

Remember there are two books or two ledgers in Christ's possession and the first ledger was to seal the first fruits for the resurrection as declared in:

Revelation 6:11
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

These Old covenant saints of the most high who were under the altar of God were given white resurrection garments and told to be patient for their new covenant brothers to also be recorded in Christ's second ledger for the latter rain peoples.

Revelation 7:3-4
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed:and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

The sense of urgency for the beginning of the reaping of the great harvest of God is made clear in the above verse where the servants of our God who are the old covenant saints are sealed for the resurrection and numbered accordingly from every tribe of Israel in a symbolic overtone.

These saints of the most high were the ones waiting for Michael who is a symbol of the Christ to come and raise them from their graves to everlasting life.

This happened for the first fruits the end of one chapter as far as the former rain people are concerned and the beginning of the new chapter for the latter rain people, who are all the new covenant believers in Christ who are said to be:

Revelation 7:14
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

We sing the song of the lamb whilst the Old Testament first fruits sing the song of Moses and this is how John in Revelation distinguishes the two groups of peoples the former from the latter rain.

Now as far as Daniel was concerned the events and wonders were for only his people the old covenant saints of the most high including him who needed to wait until the messiah came and raised him according to Matthew 27:52-53.

This now ends the Old Testament era and then God uses John to write the book of Revelation that summaries the old and continues with the new. So everything after the fifth seal after the sealing of the first fruits for the resurrection is for the new.

So the four horses of the apocalypse was part and parcel of the Old Testament era and our era is from the fifth seal to when the sixth seal is opened which signals the 11th hour and once the seventh seal is opens by the risen Christ, the seventh angels are prepared to sound trumpets to destruction and to bring it to the 12th hour where The Lord himself comes as the seventh angel and sounds the seventh trumpet declaring time no longer.

So for the new covenant believers we are close to the opening of the sixth, that will trigger a cosmic event that heralds The days of awe (Yom Kappur) leading into Sukkot.

It will be days of cruelty and destruction before days of quietness because the earth will be quickly emptied of all life.

We are on borrowed time, I can say this much for now.
