Of the three dance teams, I liked Mario and Karina the least. He is adorable, no doubt, but his cha-cha didn't have enough cha-cha in it, and his tango, while staying carefully within the rules, lacked the excitement of the dances where he broke the rules.
Emmitt and Cheryl were charming. Cheryl is, I think, the best dancer-mentor of the ladies. They are both exuberant and they have lots of chemistry.
I have been liking Joey and Edyta more and more (I liked Edyta a lot last year, too, when she danced with George Hamilton.) Edyta is gentler than Cheryl, but she has a warmth and a sweetness about her. Joey's routines have been very creative, and he has taken a lot of risks. It was a big risk for him to dance the mambo (and, truthfully, even though he got 30, he didn't have Emmitt's hip action on the mambo.)
I voted on the show for the first time--for Joey and Edyta. I think it will probably be Mario and Emmitt in the finals, but I wanted to give the underdog a boost.
