Did anybody catch the results show tonight? I missed it

No one went home. Sarah's departure counted as this week's elimination.

The judges' scores and vote totals from this week will be added to next week's scores and totals. Basically, the next elimination will be based on two weeks instead of just one.

I like Joey, but truthfully, all of the four younger remaining stars are excellent--Monique, Emmitt, and Mario, too.

I think that the last two standing will be Emmitt and Mario, and I'm not sure who will win....

I was surprised Jerry Rice did so well last year--he really wasn't that good a dancer, but his football stardom garnered lots of votes.

And Emmitt is ten times the dancer Jerry Rice is and he's a football star...

Mario, on the other hand, is just adorable...if he was a star before this show he was under MY radar (of course, I'm in my 50's) but he sure is a star now. My contemporaries (mothers of 20 and 30 somethings) are just mesmerized with him, in a motherly way, of course.

So I'm not sure whether Emmitt's star power, which has developed over the years, will supercede Mario's adorableness and slightly better dancing skills (Emmitt is an awesome dancer, too, and he has Cheryl, the star-maker, as his partner.)

What do y'all think?

I think Jerry will be eliminated next week.

I like Joey too.... why on earth is Jerry still on that show?  ^_^
because all those ppl on the show and the like are voting for him...some are voting as a joke!!! The judges need to start giving him 3s and even 2s if necessary!
I like Joey more in the beginning...he is starting to look hyper and out of control(sloppy) compared to the toprunners...Jerry should be gone first, then Joey.

Emmet Smith is really good considering his body build. I like Monique just because she is sweet. The latin lover (whatever his name is)LOL, is just naturally a good dancer, did you see who shows up at almost all the shows? But of course they are only friends. LOL It was after people began to talk that they started hinting there was something going on between him and his dance partner. HA. We aren't stupid.

Yes I like Monique to. Watch her she very well could be one of the final two

Fantine, how about coming over to the golden eagles forum. It's for 50 and over. Not trying to insult you or anything just letting you know what's on this forum.

I've posted there a few times, bcauser. I just haven't been hanging out there. I will come to visit soon (it's 5 am right now, and I have to chaperone a high school event--yes, I have a late-in-life child....)

I'm glad they did no elimination this week...I don't really think it would have been fair to bring back Willa just because she was the last to go...the only fair thing to do was to have all the eliminated ppl do a dance-off type show and the viewers could bring back someone to rejoin the competition, or do what they did, a non-elimination week...

Well Jerry did well in his first dance but didn't know what he was doing in the second, so bye bye!
I think Joey will be next. Would like to see it be between Monique and Emmitt They really are getting so they pick at Mario so he might not make it just because the judges don't give him the great marks. Judges seem to really like Emmitt I am for Monique

My favorite dance last night was Joey and Edyta's "Singin' in the Rain." It was so charming and just brought a smile to my face.

Second, I thought, was Emmitt and Cheryl's mambo.

Monique and Louis' foxtrot was elegant and stylish. I thought her Paso Doble suffered from the music. I can't for the life of me understand why, when you're dancing a dance that is not only Latin in origin but has a story (the bullfighter and cape) attached to it you would pick some rock song. To me it was very distracting, because I would see the red and the black and the moves of the dance going along to the story of the bullfight next to this song that was completely irrelevant. I think she would have gotten at least one ten for the dance if the music had been more thematic.

(I have felt the same about other dancers putting Latin dances to pop and rock music, too, but this was the most glaring example.)

My hubby says he doesn't think the dancers pick the songs they dance to, but I think they must....

Mario was very good, as always, but I think that Joey and Emmitt had the two show stoppers last night.

I think that it's harder for Monique (and the female dancers) because people are comparing them to the female pros--and the female pros have all the showy moves! Because the male pros are often in a more supporting role, the male stars don't suffer as much by comparison, especially since they add a lot of showy moves on their own in order to garner the vote.

Jerry did well tonight considering his age and the stress of doing two dances, but, on the basis of dancing skills, he should have been eliminated weeks ago.

I think he will be eliminated tonight.
