  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am making an area for tap dancing in my [parents] home. As of right now I am looking into flooring. I've been researched via internet for a non professional and inexpensive floor. So far I've found that Parquet might be an option I was wondering if any one thought that Parquet might not work. If so, what are some other options for under $100 [if any].

I've tried tap dancing, skill. I actually practiced in the basement on cement flooring. But the tap dancing in a studio sounds completely different. I must admit I found it really noisy in both cases. So if you can have something muffle the sound slightly without interfering with the tapping, that would be amazing.

NEVER dance on cement!!!!!!!!! You are going to kill your feet/legs/body. I'm not trying to be facetious here, even a little bit of dancing on those hard floors can really do a lot of damage. Please, please PLEASE don't continue this!!!

You really should always be dancing on some sort of sprung or raised floor for safety. Tap sounds may sound a bit muffled on some of these, but safety needs to be the concern, especially when you are practicing.

Don't risk not being able to dance because you were practicing on the wrong kind of flooring and caused serious injury. :(
