This thread reminds me of a book I read

It was called Dancing through it: My journey in the ballet by Jennifer Ringer

Not sure if anyones heard of her but there was some controversy in the ballet world over ballerinas weights. Ballet is a very disciplined dance form and its really not for the faint hearted.
Also ms Ringer is a christian so its not like ballet and faith cannot mix as long as one doesnt put ones faith into ballet itself. It can be very easy to idolise since its so demanding of your time.

I did it for a while as an adult beginner, it wasnt easy for me! But I enjoyed it. I am in no way a natural though. You kind of have to learn it when young and supple.

A friend just Tweeted a throwback to a dance we were in and absolutely loved in 2010. It was a company dance, so all age groups were in it, which made it more special. It's a fun dance, so I'm sharing it even though the video quality is a bit poor, haha:
